Tricks & Treats Bat Framed Dracula |
F un Halloween card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and glow-in-the-dark specialty paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pretty Peacock Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4" of green, gray, and white stripes design from Walk In The Forest 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 1" x 4" from Pretty Peacock Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" from Glow-In-The-Dark 6" x 6" Specialty Paper
- 3/4" x 2-1/2" from Glow-In-The-Dark 6" x 6" Specialty Paper
As you are ready to stamp using the Tricks & Treats Set, place the cardstock or specialty paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin Glow-In-The-Dark paper strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
Mount the "EEK!" sentiment from the Tricks & Treats Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched Glow-In-The-Dark strip at a slight angle so it is close to the left edge with the punched edge on the left side. Set aside to allow to dry.
Pick out the open dracula head die from the Tricks & Treats Dies. Put it on top of the large glow-in-the-dark rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Mount the dracula hair image and dracula face image from the Tricks & Treats Set together on Block C so the hair and face are centered. Ink them up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it on the dracula face cut out so the hair is as close as possible to the top edge. Set aside to allow to dry.
Mount the set of bats image from the Tricks & Treats Set on Block A. Ink them up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp them repeatedly in the center of the vertical Soft Sea Foam rectangle to make a rough rectangle in the center. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp a little each time. Leave about 7/8" of unstamped cardstock on all four edges.
Pick out the long zigzag die from the Tricks & Treats Dies. Put it on top of the thin Pretty Peacock strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so you'll cut along one long edge. Run through the machine.
Adhere the zigzag Pretty Peacock strip cut out to the back of one long edge of the A Walk In The Forest Designer Paper so the points just stick out along the top edge.
Adhere the punched sentiment strip to the center of the designer paper on the right edge as shown. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess glow-in-the-dark paper on the right edge.
Adhere the layered designer paper with sentiment strip attached to the bottom of the stamped Soft Sea Foam rectangle as shown so about 1/8" of Soft Sea Foam shows along the bottom.
Adhere the layered Soft Sea Foam rectangle to the front of the Pretty Peacock card.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the dracula face cut out to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so it is centered in the rectangle of stamped bats.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 glow-in-the-dark bats from the sheet of Glow-In-The-Dark Bats & Ghosts making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the front of the card around the dracula face cut out.
