Q uick Halloween Card using the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper
Product Measurements:
8-1/2x 4-1/4 Terracotta Tile Cardstock
4x5-1/4 Basic Black Cardstock
4x5-1/4 Whisper White Cardstock
3 inch circle bat DSP
2-1/4 inch circle house DSP
2-1/4 scallop circle Terracotta Tile
scrap Sahara Sand for the sentiment
10 inches Glittered Organdy Ribbon
Using the Woodlands folder, emboss the piece of Basic Black cardstock. With a sponge, lightly brush Whisper White ink back and forth vertically to enhance the treats and create your spooky, misty background
Cut a partial 3 inch circle from the Bat page of the DSP. The flat edge will match up to the side of the Black cardstock, so watch the direction of the paper as you cut. I used a 2.5 inch wide piece of paper to obtain a straight side.
Adhere the bat circle to to the front of the embossed black cardstock about 1 inch from the bottom and then tie a knot in the ribbon and attach to the front with the knot at the far left of the card at about 1.5 inches from the bottom. This piece can then be adhered to the front of the card base.
Adhere the cut DSP house image to the Terracotta circle and then using dimensionals place this piece at the centre of the card so that the bottom of the circle is just slightly higher than the bottom of the bat circle.
Stamp your sentiment onto a scrap piece of Sahara Sand and punch out using the Classic Label Punch. Sponge the edges with Terracotta Tile ink. Adhere to the front of the card using snail adhesive on the part that will be on the house piece and a dimensional on the right side to balance the height.
For this card I added a strip of the bat DSP to the insert and stamped the sentiment on the envelope in an ombre fashion by inking once and stamping several times.
