Toile Tidings Window card |
|
I call this a window card because it reminds me of looking out a window and seeing the winter scene outside. The Toile Tidings paper is perfect this kind of design.
|
Card Base: Cut Garden Green 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Front: Cut paper 4 X 5 ¼. Emboss with Dainty Diamonds embossing folder.
Cut a strip of green stripe ¾ X 4 and attach near the bottom of the card front. I used mini dimensionals to attach to card front.
Cut the frame for the opening. I used the largest Stitched Shape circle and the layering circle that fits just inside (see picture). If you wanted a wider frame, use a smaller layering circle. This card show a Real Red frame. At the end of these directions, you can see a picture with a Garden Green frame and one with a Brushed metallic frame.
Whichever layering circle you use to make the frame, use that circle to cut out a circle in the upper half of the embossed card front. Attach your frame over the cut out in the embossed card front.
Choose which part of the print you want to show through the window and cut a piece 3 ¼ X 3 ¼. Attach a dimensional to the each corner of the FRONT of the print (the side you will see through the opening) and attach to the back of the embossed card front. Add some additional dimensionals to the back of the card front. Add some adhesive to the back of the Toile print and attach the card front to the card base. I showed how to do this in a Facebook Live on my Scrappin with Joni Facebook page on September 28th. You can find that under videos on my page if you want to see how I did it.
On a ½ by 3” strip of Very Vanilla stamp sentiment with Garden Green ink. Punch each end with Lovely Label PIck a Punch. Attach to stripe at bottom of card front.
Attach Gold Glimmer Enamel Dots to card front.

That’s it; you have finished your card front. Wasn’t that easy? For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Very Vanilla 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
