Thoughtful Blooms Ombre Flower Thanks |
P retty ombre thank you card using Stampin' Up! products including some that can be earned for FREE during Sale-A-Bration 2020.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Mango Melody Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 3-3/8" x 4-5/8" from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" of rows of silver flowers on white background design from Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Insert the Daffodil Delight rectangle into the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line drawn on the front of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Daffodil Delight rectangle to the front of the Mango Melody card.
Place the piece of Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper with rows of silver flowers on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Roll a Sponge Brayer across the open Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, roll the inky brayer over the bottom third of the piece of designer paper. Repeat until you have the color coverage you want. Get more ink on the brayer as needed. Use a clean tissue or paper towel to wipe off excess ink.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Brayers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Roll a different Sponge Brayer across the open Mango Melody Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, roll the inky brayer over the center third of the piece of designer paper. Let it overlap the Pumpkin Pie color a bit. Repeat until you have the color coverage you want. Get more ink on the brayer as needed. Use a clean tissue or paper towel to wipe off excess ink.

Adhere the colored designer paper rectangle to the Pumpkin Pie rectangle. Then, adhere it to the center of the front of the card so the Daffodil Delight color is on the top.
As you are ready to stamp using the Thoughtful Blooms Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large, solid flower image with the open dot in the center from the Thoughtful Blooms Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the long white strip. Clean the stamp with the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the large, solid flower image with the open dot in the center on Block A with the Mango Melody Ink Pad. Stamp it on the long white strip, leaving room in between the images to punch them out. Clean the stamp with the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.

Mount the "thank you" sentiment from the Thoughtful Blooms Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Mango Melody Ink Pad. Stamp it on the long white strip leaving room to punch it out.
Unlock the Small Bloom Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide one of the stamped flowers into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Repeat with the other two flowers.
Unlock the 1" Circle Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Adhere the sentiment circle punch out to the front of the card so it is about 1-1/4" from the top edge and about 1-3/4" from the left edge.
Use SNAIL to adhere the Pumpkin Pie flower punch out to the front of the card so it overlaps the top of the sentiment circle punch out.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the Daffodil Delight flower punch out to the card front so it overlaps the Pumpkin Pie flower a bit and the sentiment circle punch out on the upper left.
Pick out a Whisper White tassel from the Best Dressed Tassels.
Place the top of the tassel on the BACK of the Mango Melody flower punch out so the bottom of the tassel sticks out and the top loop of the tassel is hidden. Put a Mini Stampin' Dimensional inside the loop of the tassel. Remove the protective backing and put another Mini Stampin' Dimensional on top of the first.
Remove the protective backing from the top layer of Dimensionals and adhere the Mango Melody flower punch out to the card front so it overlaps the Daffodil Delight flower a bit and overlaps the sentiment circle punch out a bit on the lower left side. The tassel should be sticking out to the lower right side.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 pearl white sequins from a sheet of Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the centers of the flower punch outs.
