Swirly Rose Birthday |
T he swirly bird stamp set bundle gives you many variations for creating cards. In this card the swirls have been used to create roses.

|
Create a base card by cutting an 8.5 x 11 Whisper White cardstock in half on the 11” length. Score at the 4.25” mark on the 8.5” length. This will make a 4.25 x 5.5 card base.
Cut four .75” x 4” pieces of Highland Heather cardstock.
Cut two small swirls from Highland Heather cardstock and two from Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
Punch two 1.5” circles with the circle punch in both Highland Heather cardstock and Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
Cut seven leaves with the leaf punch in Wild Wasabi cardstock (retired) or Garden a green cardstock.
Using a Cricut Air and the Accent Essentials cartridge I cut a circular accent at 4” x 1.5”.
Stamp the greeting from the Birthday Banners stamp set in Gorgeous Grape classic ink then cut out with Bunch of Banners associated framelit, cut out the banner
Putting it together:
With multipurpose glue attach the four stripes of Highland Heather. I find it easier to attach the top and bottom ones leaving 1/4” on the edges. Then place the remaining two with .75” spacing. I placed my card along the 5.5” edge on my trimmer and then placed the two middle strips.
Attach the circular accent along the second last strip.
Attach the swirls to the circles ensuring the opposite colours are used for the pieces. Example Highland Heather swirl with Gorgeous Grape backing and vice versa.
Attach the stems of the leaves to the back of the swirly roses.
Two to a background Gorgeous Grape flower on the right side and downward
Two on a Gorgeouse Grape background on either side
Two on a Highland Heather background at the top
And one to a Highland Heather background on the left side
Attach the Highland Heather background rose with two leaves near the top right corner
Attach the other Highland Heather with one leaf below the first a bit offset
Using the dimensionals attach the two leaf Gorgeous Grape background rose between the attached roses
Use dimensionals to place the remaining rose in the bottom right corner.
Using dimensionals attach the greeting in the white space between the roses
