Sweet Candy Canes Tag With Leaves |
P retty Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 5-1/2" from Garden Green Cardstock
Place the Sweet Sorbet rectangle vertically on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Mount the "Merry & Bright" sentiment from the Sweet Candy Canes Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the vertical Sweet Sorbet rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock. Change the orientation of the stamp a little each time.
Adhere the stamped Sweet Sorbet rectangle to the front of the Real Red card.
Mount the candy cane that curves to the left image from the Sweet Candy Canes Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large, vertical white rectangle.
Pick out the matching candy cane die from the Candy Canes Dies. Put it on top of the stamped candy cane image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Adhere the candy cane cut out to the left side of the card front at a slight angle as shown. Make sure you leave room to the right for the tag.
Mount the "Christmas Cheer" sentiment from the Sweet Candy Canes Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining white rectangle.
Pick out the tag with holes on the ends die from the Candy Canes Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off the right edge of the tag cut out so you have a straight line.
Adhere the cut down tag to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so the left bumpy edge of the tag is near the center of the candy cane cut out.
Mount the leafy sprig image from the Sweet Candy Canes Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it three times on the Garden Green strip. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time and leave space between the images to cut them out with the dies.
Pick out both leaf dies from the Candy Canes Dies. Put them both on the leaf sprig stamped green strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so they are centered over a couple of the images. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Repeat with the third leaf sprig image using one die.
Using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and Stampin' Seal, adhere the three leaf sprig cut outs to the front of the card in a tight cluster so the sprigs hide the left end of the tag cut out and overlap each other a bit.
Cut a 9" piece of the Real Red ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green 3/8" Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so it is centered over the stems of the leaf sprig cut outs.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 different size jewels from a sheet of Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the card front.
