B right and cheery card perfect for lots of occasions using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Coastal Cabana Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
Pick out the group of circles die from the Picture This Dies. Put it on top of the Granny Apple Green rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered and two little circles are on the left side. Run through the machine. Keep the green rectangle with circles cut out to use on this project.
Insert the Granny Apple Green rectangle with circles cut out of it into the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
WITHOUT ADHERING, place the dry embossed Granny Apple Green rectangle on top of the Pool Party rectangle so you can't see any of the Pool Party along the edges.
As you are ready to stamp using the Sweet Songbirds Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the sentiment of choice that fits from the Sweet Songbirds Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large circle on the lower right side.
Mount the musical notes image from the Sweet Songbirds Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Coastal Cabana Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the three small circles, remembering to re-ink the stamp each time. Slightly change the orientation of the stamp each time as well.
Adhere the Granny Apple Green rectangle in place over the top of the stamped Pool Party rectangle. Use Paper Snips Scissors to trim off any excess Pool Party Cardstock that shows over the edges of the Granny Apple Green rectangle.
Adhere the matted Granny Apple Green/Pool Party rectangle to the front of the Coastal Cabana card.
Mount the large bird looking to the right image from the Sweet Songbirds Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Coastal Cabana Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the vertical 1-3/4" x 4" white strip as close to the bottom edge as possible, leaving room to punch it out.
Unlock the Songbird Builder Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped bird image into the punch and get it centered in the bird punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Mount the small bird looking to the left image from the Sweet Songbirds Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Coastal Cabana Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the 1-3/4" x 4" white strip, leaving room to cut it out.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the small bird image by hand. Leave a thin edge of white all around the image.
Place both bird images on some Grid Paper. Squeeze the lid of the Poppy Parade Ink Pad to get ink in the lid. Use a Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lid and color in the bellies of both birds. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Scribble on Grid Paper when you are done until no more color is coming off the Blender Pen.
Mount the set of two small circles image from the Sweet Songbirds Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the large bird punch out at a very slight angle just above and centered over the beak to make the eyes that are open.
Mount the set of two small half circles image from the Sweet Songbirds Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the small bird cut out at a very slight angle just above and centered over the beak to make the eyes that are closed.
