Sweet Conversations Envelope of Hearts |
F un card perfect for an anniversary or Valentine's Day made with Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips Scissors:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of lines of tiny hearts on white background design from Sweet Talk 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the rows of hearts are horizontal on the vertical rectangle
- 2-1/8" x 3-3/4" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 2" x 3-5/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-3/4" square of red heart lollipops and pink lollipops and tiny white hearts on light pink background design from Sweet Talk 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- small section of different colored conversation hearts on white background design from Sweet Talk 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper containing a purple heart with "Hug Me" on it
Adhere the large rectangle of Sweet Talk Designer Paper to the center of the large Highland Heather rectangle and then to the front of the Real Red card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Pansy Patch Set or Sweet Conversations Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "love you much" sentiment from the Pansy Patch Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the bottom of the vertical 2" x 3-5/8" white rectangle as close to the bottom as possible.
Pick out the solid die with a row of 4 small hearts from the Sweet Hearts Dies. Put it on top of the stamped vertical white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered side to side and is just above the sentiment. Run through the machine. LEAVE THE DIE OUT!
Adhere the stamped and die cut white rectangle to the center of the small Highland Heather rectangle.
Cut a 2-3/4" piece of the Real Red 3/8" Faux Linen Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the matted, stamped and die cut white rectangle so it is just above the line of die cut hearts. Flip the rectangle over and secure the ends of the ribbon in place with small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and add more adhesive to the back of the Highland Heather rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the card so the top edge is about 3/4" from the top of the card and the left edge is about 5/8" from the left side of the card.
Pick out the petal envelope die from the Sweet Hearts Dies. Put it on top of the designer paper square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. SAVE ALL THE PIECES!
Tip: If possible, line the die up so one of the petals is centered over one of the heart-shaped red lollipops.
Fold three sides of the petal envelope in to make the envelope with a top flap open (if possible, make sure this top flap is the one with the heart-shaped lollipop on it). You should see the other side of the designer paper for most of the envelope. Secure the flaps in place with Mini Glue Dots.
Adhere the envelope to the front of the card at a slight angle so it overlaps the right edge of the stamped and die cut matted white rectangle with ribbon attached as shown. (You will cover the right-most small heart cut out).
Mount the largest, solid heart image from the Sweet Conversations Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the remaining white rectangle.
Mount the outlined, "Luv U" heart image from the Sweet Conversations Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the remaining white rectangle, leaving room to cut the images out.
Mount the matching solid heart image from the Sweet Conversations Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp once onto Grid Paper. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp it over the top of the smaller solid heart image on the white rectangle.
Pick out the matching open heart dies from the Sweet Hearts Dies. Put them on top of the stamped hearts on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so they are centered over the images. Make sure the dies DO NOT OVERLAP. Run through the machine.
Pick out the remaining, single, open heart die from the Sweet Hearts Dies. Put it on top of the designer paper piece with the purple "Hug Me" heart on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine. KEEP ALL THE PIECES!
Adhere the large, solid red heart cut out to the front of the card as shown so it appears to be coming out of the envelope at a slight angle.
Adhere the designer paper "Hug Me" heart cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the upper right side of the solid red heart cut out a bit.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the "Luv U" red heart cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the upper right side of the "Hug Me" heart a bit at a slight angle.
Put the solid die with a row of 4 small hearts on top of the remaining designer paper square you cut the petal envelope from so you will cut out at least two small hearts on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. LEAVE THE DIE OUT!
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere one of the small hearts you just cut out to the front of the card so the pink side is showing in the upper left corner of the matted white rectangle as shown.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the other small heart you just cut out to the front of the card so the red speckled side is showing in the upper left corner of the matted white rectangle as shown. It should overlap the other small pink heart a bit.
Put the solid die with a row of 4 small hearts on top of the remaining designer paper you cut "Hug Me" heart from so you will cut out a small heart from the purple side on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. If possible, line the die up so you will cut out a small, outlined white heart on a purple background. Run through the machine.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the small purple heart cut out to the center of the envelope on the card front as shown.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Real Red 3/8" Faux Linen Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front so it is centered between the envelope and the left edge of the matted white rectangle. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
