Spooktacular Bash Creepy Jars |
C reepy Halloween card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of spooky ingredient jars on light gray background design from Monster Bash Designer Series Paper, cut so the jars are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 2-1/2" square from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 2" square of spiderwebs on gray background design from Monster Bash Designer Series Paper
- 2" square of Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
Adhere the large piece of spooky jars Monster Bash Designer Paper to the large Crushed Curry rectangle and then to the front of the Pumpkin Pie card.
Mount the set of 3 filled jars image from the Spooktacular Bash Set on Block C. Carefully cover the two jars on the sides with pieces of Scotch (cello) tape. Ink up the stamp with the Memento Pad. Remove the pieces of tape from the jars (be careful, they will be inky) and throw them away. Stamp the spider jar image in the center of the small white square.
Tip: Be sure to remove the tape before stamping or you will get nasty dark blobs of ink on your cardstock.
Pick out the small square die with pointy corners from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put it on top of the stamped spider jar image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
Use the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to paint some glitter inside the jar all around the spider.
Use the fine tip of the Crushed Curry Marker to color in the spider's eyes and to draw a solid figure "8" on his back.
Use the Pumpkin Pie Marker to color in the rest of the spider's body and head.
Pick out the larger square die with pointy corners from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put it on top of the square of spiderwebs designer paper on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
Adhere the stamped, glittered, and colored spider jar cut out to the center of the spiderwebs cut out.
Pick out the square filigree frame die from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put the die on top of the Crushed Curry square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and/or paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Adhere the matted spider jar image to the center of the Crushed Curry filigree frame cut out.
Adhere the matted and framed spider jar image to the front of the card so it is about 1" from the bottom and about 1" from the right side.
Rub the Embossing Buddy all over the small Pumpkin Pie rectangle.
Mount the "Spooky" or "Creepy" sentiment from the Spooktacular Bash Set on Block B. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Pumpkin Pie strip.
Place the stamped Pumpkin Pie rectangle in the center of a piece of Grid Paper. Sprinkle on Shimmer Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder so it covers the entire image. Tap off excess powder. Return extra powder to the container.
Heat with the Heat Tool until the powder is completely melted (shiny and more opaque).
Pick out the small stitched label die with rounded ends from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put it on top of the stamped and heat embossed sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is more to the right. Run through the tool.
Use Black Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom of the matted and framed spider jar image just below the jar and centered side to side.
Cut a 3" piece of Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon. Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at a slight angle on the lower left side of the sentiment cut out.
