So Hoppy Together January Swap Card |
H andmade card using Stampin' Up! products including a set that can be earned for FREE during Sale-A-Bration 2019.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" of one of the patterns of green tropical leaves from Tropical Escape 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 3" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
- scrap of Old Olive Cardstock at least 1-1/4" wide
- scrap of Whisper White Cardstock at least 1-1/4" wide
Insert the large Granny Apple Green rectangle into the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the paper inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Adhere the strip of Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper across the center (horizontally) of the dry embossed Granny Apple Green rectangle.
Adhere the dry embossed rectangle/designer paper layer to the front of the Old Olive card.
Mount the sitting frog stamp from the So Hoppy Together Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large white piece.
Mount the crown stamp from the So Hoppy Together Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it on the top of the frog's head.
Tip: You can trim excess rubber from the bottom of the crown stamp if you wish using sharp scissors. This will make it easier to stamp the crown on top of the frog's head without having a gap.
Unlock the 2" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped frog and crown image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Place the frog circle punch out on top of some paper on your work surface (Grid Paper works great). You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use the dark colors first and then the light colors to blend the colors and color in the spaces. Work on one area at a time so the inks will be wet and will blend easier.
Use the Dark Daffodil Delight Marker to color in the crown and the frog's back spots and eyeballs.
Use the Light and Dark Old Olive Markers to color in the frog's belly.
Use the Light and Dark Granny Apple Green Markers to color in the rest of the frog.
Use the Color Lifter Marker as needed to remove excess ink.
Unlock the 2-1/4" Circle Punch. Slide the smaller piece of Granny Apple Green Cardstock into the punch. Punch.
Adhere the colored frog circle punch out to the center of the Granny Apple Green circle punch out.
Adhere the matted frog circle punch out to the center of an Old Olive doily from the Colored Doilies.
Adhere the doily matted frog circle to the front of the card so it is centered over the strip of designer paper on the left side.
Mount the "Hoppy for You" or "Hey..." sentiment from the So Hoppy Together Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Pad. Stamp it in the center of the scrap of Whisper White.
Unlock the 3/4" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Unlock the 1" Circle Punch. Slide the scrap of Old Olive Cardstock into the punch. Punch.
Adhere the sentiment circle punch out to the center of the Old Olive circle.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the matted sentiment circle to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower right side of the frog circle and doily a bit.
