Snowflake Wishes Snow Much Thanks |
W intery thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Seaside Spray Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Misty Moonlight Cardstock
- 3" square from Seaside Spray Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Gray Granite Cardstock
- 2" square from Shimmery White Cardstock
To make stamping the background easier, especially if you are doing multiples of this card, place the rectangle of Misty Moonlight Cardstock on your work surface. Then, place all of the single snowflake images from the Snowflake Wishes Set, EXCEPT for the largest one, onto the cardstock stamping side down. Let some of the stamps go off the edges of the cardstock. It is fine if there is an empty space near the middle of the rectangle as this will be covered later with the sentiment circle cut out and snowflake cut outs. Then, press Block F onto the backs (the smooth flat sides) of the stamps so they are all on one block.
As you are ready to stamp using the Snowflake Wishes Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Ink up all the snowflake stamps on Block F using the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad pounced around on top of the snowflake stamps until they are all good and inky. Place the inked up stamps on Block F on top of the Misty Moonlight rectangle and press firmly all over to transfer the images to the cardstock.
Mount the larger grouping of multiple small snowflakes from the Snowflake Wishes Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad and stamp it all over the previously stamped Misty Moonlight rectangle filling in some of the blank spaces. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the sides of the cardstock and let some of them overlap the snowflakes already stamped on the cardstock.
Mount the smaller grouping of multiple small snowflakes from the Snowflake Wishes Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad and stamp it all over the previously stamped Misty Moonlight rectangle filling in the remaining blank spaces. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the sides of the cardstock and let some of them overlap the snowflakes already stamped on the cardstock.
Adhere the stamped Misty Moonlight rectangle to the front of the Seaside Spray card.
Mount the large single snowflake image (that you did NOT use on the background) from the Snowflake Wishes Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Seaside Spray square.
Pick out the matching, large, open snowflake die from the So Many Snowflakes Dies. Put it on top of the stamped snowflake on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the snowflake image is centered in the die. Run through the tool.
Adhere the large snowflake cut out to the front of the card so the top tip is about 1/2" from the top of the card and the left-most tip is about 1/2" from the left side of the card.
Mount the "Thank You Snow Much" sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Gray Granite square.
Pick out the stitched circle die from the Stitched Shapes Dies that cuts out a circle that is 1-7/8" diameter. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered top to bottom and slightly closer to the right side. Run through the tool.
Adhere the sentiment circle cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the large snowflake on the bottom left side and the right edge of the circle is about 3/4" from the right edge of the card and the top edge is about 1-3/4" from the top edge of the card.
Pick out the medium-sized, more detailed snowflake die from the So Many Snowflakes Dies. Put it on top of the Shimmery White Cardstock square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional in the center of the back of the shimmery white snowflake cut out to adhere it to the front of the card so it overlaps the left side of the sentiment circle cut out and the bottom of the large snowflake cut out a bit.
Cut an 8" piece of the Snowflake Splendor 1/4" Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the lower right side of the sentiment circle cut out at a slight angle.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large and small pearl from a sheet of Iridescent Pearls making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card in the centers of the snowflake cut outs.
