Snowflake Wishes Frost Sparkle Cards |
Q uick and easy Christmas cards using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4" (I used Misty Moonlight, Seaside Spray, Smoky Slate, and Highland Heather)
- 4" x 5-1/4" of one of the frost covered plants patterns from Feels Like Frost 6" x 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper, cut so the plants are horizontal when the rectangle is horizontal
- 2" x 3" from same color cardstock (I used Misty Moonlight, Seaside Spray, Smoky Slate, and Highland Heather)
- 1-7/8" x 2-7/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/4" square from one of the silver and white detail patterns from Feels Like Frost 6" x 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper or section of purple shading into dark pink of Rainbow Glimmer Paper
Adhere the rectangle of Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Paper to the front of the card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Snowflake Wishes Set, place the cardstock or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "May Your Season Sparkle" sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes Set on Block H. Ink it up with the coordinating color of ink (I used Misty Moonlight, Seaside Spray, Smoky Slate, or Highland Heather). Stamp it on the white rectangle so it is centered side to side and about 1/4" from the top edge.
Adhere the sentiment stamped white rectangle to the coordinating color rectangle (I used Misty Moonlight, Seaside Spray, Smoky Slate, and Highland Heather).
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of ribbon. Or a 7" piece of twine.
If you are using twine, fold it in half.
Lay the ribbon or folded twine across the bottom of the matted sentiment rectangle so it is centered between the bottom of the sentiment and the bottom of the matted cardstock. Flip the rectangle over and fold the ends of the ribbon or folded twine over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon or folded twine in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the colored cardstock rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the card so it is about 1/2" from the top and right edges.
Pick out the medium-sized, more detailed snowflake die from the So Many Snowflakes Dies. Put it on top of the Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Paper or Glimmer Paper square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the side of the paper you want to have showing is facing up. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional in the center of the back of the snowflake cut out to adhere it to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon or twine on the left side of the sentiment rectangle and overlaps the lower left corner of the sentiment rectangle.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large gem, rhinestone jewel, or epoxy droplet from a sheet of the gems, rhinestone jewels, or epoxy droplets making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the front of the card in the center of the snowflake cut out.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the ribbon. Or cut a 7" piece of the twine.
If you are using twine, fold it in half.
Slide one end of the ribbon piece or folded twine piece under the ribbon or twine already on the card front on the right side. Tie the ribbon or folded twine in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
