Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Pool Party Cardstock at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2"
- 3" x 4-1/4" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" of tiny white stars and dots on dark blue background design from Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper
- scraps of Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper in patterns of your choice
Adhere the large strip of dark blue with white stars Twinkle Twinkle Designer Paper to the front of the Pool Party card about 1-1/4" from the top.
As you are ready to stamp using the Sitting Here Set, place the cardstock or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Sitting Here Set on an appropriately sized block. Ink it up with the Night of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Pool Party rectangle as close to the bottom edge as you can get.
Mount the shadow line image from the Sitting Here Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Gray Granite Ink Pad. Stamp it just above the sentiment so it is centered.
Mount the porch swing image from the Sitting Here Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Pool Party rectangle above the stamped shadow line. Let the tops of the ropes go off the top edge of the Pool Party rectangle.
Place the swing, shadow, and sentiment stamped Pool Party rectangle on top of some paper on your work surface (Grid Paper works great). You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use the dark colors first and then the light colors to blend the colors and color in the spaces. Work on one area at a time so the inks will be wet and will blend easier.
Use the Light and Dark Soft Suede Markers to color in the wooden portions of the swing.
Use the Dark Crumb Cake Marker to color in the ropes.
Use the Color Lifter Marker as needed to remove excess ink.
Adhere the stamped and colored Pool Party rectangle to the front of the card in the center.
Mount the long, skinny pillow image from the Sitting Here Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Night of Navy Ink Pad and stamp it on one of the scraps of Twinkle Twinkle Designer Paper.
Mount the round pillow image from the Sitting Here Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Night of Navy Ink Pad and stamp it on the other scrap of Twinkle Twinkle Designer Paper.
Cut out the pillows by hand using Paper Snips.
Adhere the long, skinny pillow flat to the right side of the swing bench.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the circle pillow to the swing bench so it overlaps the long, skinny pillow just a bit on the left side.
Cut a 4" piece of Black/Silver 1/4" Striped Metallic Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the rope on the left side of the swing so the knot is even with the top of the strip of designer paper.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up three different sequins from sheets of Twinkle Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the upper right corner of the swing stamped rectangle.
