Simply Succulents On My Mind |
P retty thinking of you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Granny Apple Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 4" x 5-1/4" of rows of very faint white hexagons on light turquoise background design from Dandy Designs 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Granny Apple Green rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the large, detailed succulents rectangle die from the Potted Succulents Dies. Put it on top of the Granny Apple Green rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the green side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the detailed green succulents rectangle cut out and lay it sticky side up on your work surface. Carefully adhere the Dandy Designs Designer Paper rectangle to it so you get the designer paper centered over the detailed cut out rectangle with the light turquoise side face down (so it will show through the cut outs when the rectangle is turned over). Use Paper Snips Scissors to trim off excess Granny Apple Green cardstock on all four edges of the designer paper rectangle.
Adhere the layered die cut rectangle to the front of the Granny Apple Green card.
Mount the larger, single succulent image from the Simply Succulents Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it on one side of the horizontal Old Olive rectangle.
Pick out the matching, larger, single succulent die and the spiky, aloe vera plant die from the Potted Succulents Dies. Put them on top of the stamped Old Olive rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the succulent image is centered in the matching die. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Adhere the aloe vera plant cut out to the bottom right side of the card front so the right edges of the leaf tips touch the right edge of the large succulent cut out and the bottom is about 1" from the bottom of the card.
Adhere the larger, single succulent cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom of the aloe vera cut out as shown.
Mount the "you've been on my mind" sentiment from the Simply Succulents Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp the sentiment in the center of the thin white strip.
Pick out the long label die from the Potted Succulents Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card as shown so the right end overlaps the left edge of the larger, single succulent cut out a bit and the bottom edge is about 1/2" from the bottom of the card.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large Balmy Blue sequin from the sheet of Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the front of the card so it is in the center of the larger, single succulent cut out.
