Simply Succulent Extraordinary Plant |
P retty congratulations card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Bermuda Bay Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 3-1/8" x 4-3/8" from Bermuda Bay Cardstock
- 3" x 4-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" from Calypso Coral Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Granny Apple Green rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the large, detailed succulents rectangle die from the Potted Succulents Dies. Put it on top of the Granny Apple Green rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the green side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the detailed green succulents rectangle cut out and lay it sticky side up on your work surface. Carefully adhere the Old Olive rectangle to it so you get the Old Olive centered over the detailed cut out rectangle. Use Paper Snips Scissors to trim off excess Granny Apple Green cardstock on all four edges of the Old Olive rectangle.
Adhere the Old Olive rectangle to the center of the remaining 4" x 5-1/4" Granny Apple Green rectangle and then to the front of the Bermuda Bay card.
Mount the large grouping of succulents image from the Simply Succulents Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the 3-1.4" x 4-1/2" white rectangle.
Pick out the large grouping of succulents die from the Potted Succulents Dies. Put it on top of the stamped grouping of succulents image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Place the group of succulents cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends to color a rough circle near the center of each of the large succulent plants..
Use the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color and blend a rough circle around the Calypso Coral circle near the center of each of the large succulent plants..
Use the Light and Dark Granny Apple Green and Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the large succulent plants and blend the colors together.
Use the Light and Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends to color in the hanging succulents near the bottom of the grouping.
Use the Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends to color in any empty spaces amongst the succulents and to color the outside edges of the cut out.
Mount the flower pot image from the Simply Succulents Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the Calypso Coral rectangle.
Pick out the flower pot die from the Potted Succulents Dies. Put it on top of the stamped flower pot image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Place the flower pot cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends to color in the ridges on the flower pot.
Use the Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends to add shadows to the left side of the flower pot.
Place the remaining white rectangle vertically on top of of some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends to create a shadow along the bottom left side of the white rectangle.
Adhere the white rectangle to the center of the Bermuda Bay rectangle.
Adhere the matted white rectangle to the front of the card in the lower right corner as shown. The bottom and right edges should be about 3/8" from the bottom and right sides of the card.
Adhere the colored flower pot cut out to the center of the white rectangle.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored grouping of succulents cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the top of the flower pot cut out as shown.
Mount the "you make the ordinary extraordinary" sentiment from the Simply Succulents Set on Block H. Carefully ink up only the word "extraordinary" using the brush tip of the Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the sentiment in the center of the thin Granny Apple Green strip.
Pick out the long label die from the Potted Succulents Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the left edge of the matted potted plant image and the bottom of the hanging succulents.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 7 different colors and shapes from a sheet of Faux Sea Glass Shapes making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the bottom of the main matted image just to the right of the bottom of the flower pot so they go from darker shapes next to the flower pot to lighter shapes out at the edge as shown.
