Simple Stamping with Butterfly Gala |
|
B righten someone's day with this simple stamping project using the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set. All you need is a stamp, inks and paper.
Start with a whisper white card base. When using photopolymer stamps I like to place my card base onto the Stampin' pierce mat as this helps me get a clear, crisp, stamped image.
Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, stamp the double butterfly image onto the card base twice in a random fashion.
To stamp the third image of the single butterfly, place the corner of a post it note on the top of your card base as shown.
Stamp the butterfly image, making sure the smallest butterfly on top is stamped on top of the post it note.
Remove the post it note, and you are left with a single stamped butterfly image.
Stamp your chosen sentiment in memento ink on the right hand side of the card base, then choose which ink colours you are going to use to colour your butterflies. I have used balmy blue, calypso coral, so saffron and highland heather for the bigger butterflies and mint macaron for the smaller butterflies.
I wanted a subtle colour on the butterflies so I used the stamping off method - stamp the desired colour on a scrap piece of paper first then stamp onto the butterfly. I mixed the colours up, stamping the two halves of the butterflies in different colours.
Once the butterflies are coloured add their bodies and antennae, stamping in memento ink.
Your card front is complete. You can also decorate the inside of your card and envelope with butterflies to match.
