Cut cardstock and Window Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Night of Navy Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 3" from Window Sheets
- 2 pieces each 1-3/4" x 2" from Whisper White Thick Cardstock
- 1" x 4-3/4" from Real Red Cardstock
-3/4" x 2" from Whisper White Cardstock
Mount the jar image from the Sharing Sweet Thoughts Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Carefully stamp it in the center of the Window Sheet. Try not to let the stamp wiggle or slide on the slick Window Sheet. Set the Window Sheet aside to let it dry while you work on the rest of the card.
Mount the bunch of strawberries image from the Sharing Sweet Thoughts Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad and stamp it on the two pieces of Whisper White Thick Cardstock. Remember to re-ink the stamp before stamping the second image.
Tip: I like to use the Thick Cardstock for watercoloring because it holds up better.
Use the Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, and Real Red Watercolor Pencils to scribble some of each color on each strawberry.
Use a Blender Pen to blend and move the color around. Remember to stroke the tip of the Blender Pen in one direction only. If you go back and forth, then the card stock could start to pill and tear. Make some areas darker for a shading effect. You can add more color with the Watercolor Pencils as you work if you wish. When you are done coloring, scribble the tip of the Blender Pen back and forth on scratch paper until no more color is coming off.
Use the Old Olive Watercolor Pencil and Blender Pen in the same way to color in all the strawberry leaves and stems.
Set the strawberries aside for now to let them dry completely while you work on the rest of the card.
Unlock the Ticket Tear Border Punch and slide one long edge of the Real Red strip into the punch until it hits the guide along the base of the punch. Punch. Move the punched strip over and line up the punched areas with the silver guide markings on the base of the punch. Punch again. Repeat until the entire strip is punched along one long edge.
Tip: I actually find it easier to line up the already punched areas with the about-to-be-punched areas if I hold this punch upside down so I can see the punching area and line things up that way.
Cut a 5-1/2" piece of 5/8" Burlap Ribbon with a sharp angle on one end.
Cut a 6" piece of Night of Navy 1/2" Gingham Ribbon. Fold one end of the ribbon over on itself. Then, cut at a sharp angle towards the folded edge using Paper Snips to notch one end of the ribbon.
WITHOUT adhering anything, lay the punched red strip of cardstock across the bottom of the large white rectangle on the right side. Lay the Burlap Ribbon piece on top of it so the top of the ribbon is even with the top of the cardstock strip. Lay the Gingham Ribbon on top of the Burlap Ribbon so the bottom of the Gingham Ribbon overlaps the top of the Burlap Ribbon. Remember, you are NOT adhering anything yet.
Mount one of the long, skinny sentiments from the Sharing Sweet Thoughts Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad and stamp it just over the top of the Gingham Ribbon on the left side of the large white rectangle. Make sure to leave about 2-1/2" to the right of the end of the sentiment so you have room to adhere the jar image in a bit.
You can now move the punched cardstock strip and ribbon pieces out of the way.
Mount the lady bug image from the Sharing Sweet Thoughts Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad and stamp it over the center of the sentiment.
Tip: To help you know where the bottom of a Clear-Mount stamp image is, make a little mark on the Clear Block with a Marker that is even with the bottom of the image. When you stamp the image, pay attention to the mark on the block to help you get things positioned.
Use the Real Red Marker to color in the lady bug's body.
When you are happy with the stamping, you can use SNAIL to adhere the punched cardstock strip to the bottom right side of the stamped white rectangle. Make sure the right edges of the punched strip and the white rectangle line up.
Put a line of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the top of the punched strip. Remove the protective backing and adhere the Burlap Ribbon to it so that the sharp angle on the end sticks off to the left side of the cardstock strip angling down. Trim off excess ribbon on the right side.
Put a line of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the top of the Burlap Ribbon. Remove the protective backing and adhere the Gingham Ribbon to it so that the notched edge is on the left and this ribbon just overlaps the top of the Burlap Ribbon. Tuck the right end of the ribbon around to the back side of the white rectangle and put another piece of Tear & Tape across the end to secure it in place.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape on the back of the white rectangle and add some SNAIL to the rest of the area. Adhere the white rectangle to the Night of Navy rectangle and then to the front of the Real Red card.
Pick out the large jar framelit from the Everyday Jars Framelits. Place the stamped jar image on the Window Sheet on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the jar framelit on top so it is centered over the image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Carefully cut out the bunches of strawberries by hand using Paper Snips.
Adhere one bunch of strawberries to the bottom of the jar image so they are behind the jar by using a Mini Glue Dot on top of one strawberry at the bottom of the bunch.
Flip the jar and bunch of strawberries over so they are upside down. Add some SNAIL to the back of the top of the bunch of strawberries. Adhere the other bunch of strawberries to this. Make sure that all the strawberries appear to be inside the jar.
Mount the gingham lid image from the Sharing Sweet Thoughts Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Night of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it on the small strip of Whisper White Cardstock in the center.
Pick out the jar lid framelit from the Everyday Jars Framelits. Place the stamped jar lid image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the jar lid framelit on top so it is centered over the image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the jar lid image to the top of the Window Sheet jar on the front using SNAIL Adhesive.
Cut two pieces of Linen Thread each 2" long. Lay the twine pieces across the jar lid. Flip the jar over and fold the ends of the twine over. Adhere them in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the ends.
Put Stampin' Dimensionals behind the jar lid and the bunches of strawberries. Remove the protective backings and adhere the jar of strawberries to the right side of the card front so that the bottom of the jar is even with the bottom of the strip of Gingham Ribbon.
Cut a 4" piece of Gold Mini Sequin Trim and a 9" piece of Linen Thread. Fold the Mini Sequin Trim in half. Lay it on top of the Linen Thread already attached to the jar lid on the left side so that the fold is on top of the Linen Thread. Slide one end of the piece of 9" Linen Thread under the Linen Thread on the jar lid and use it to tie the Mini Sequin Trim in place with a small bow. Trim the ends of the Linen Thread and Mini Sequin Trim as needed.
