- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" of lighter gradient Sweet Sorbet glimmer paper from 2022-2024 In Color 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper
As you are ready to stamp using the Hello Ladybug Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
DO THESE NEXT TWO STEPS FIRST! This will allow the ink time to dry on the glimmer paper.
Mount the larger, flatter flower image from the Sending Smiles Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one end of the glimmer paper strip leaving room to cut it out and leaving room to stamp another flower.
Mount the slightly more angled, small flower image from the Sending Smiles Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the other end of the glimmer paper strip leaving room to cut it out.
Fold the Sweet Sorbet card base on the score lines to create a z-fold card with the shorter panel on the left side.
Insert the 4" x 5-1/4" Parakeet Party rectangle into the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine. Leave the embossing folder out.
Insert the 2-1/2" x 4" Parakeet Party rectangle into the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the large, dry embossed Parakeet Party rectangle to the inside of the big back flap of the card.
Adhere the smaller, dry embossed Parakeet Party rectangle to the center of the small front flap on the left side of the card front.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Sending Smiles Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it near the top of the center of the horizontal 2-3/8" x 3-3/8" white rectangle.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" Sweet Sorbet rectangle.
Adhere the matted sentiment rectangle to the center of the inside, large back flap of the card so it is about 3/4" from the top edge.
Adhere the 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" white rectangle to the center of the 2-5/8" x 3-5/8" Sweet Sorbet rectangle.
Use strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the left side of the matted white rectangle ONLY to adhere the left side of the matted white rectangle to the small, left front flap of the closed card. Make sure NO adhesive goes over the 2-3/4" score line or the card will not open. Make sure the matted white rectangle completely covers the interior sentiment matted rectangle when the card is closed and the left side of the matted white rectangle is about 1" from the left edge of the card front.
Mount the longer stem with a smaller branch stem and multiple leaves image from the Sending Smiles Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Parakeet Party Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2" x 3-1/4" Parakeet Party rectangle.
Pick out the matching stem and leaves die from the Sending Dies. Put it on top of the stamped stem and leaves image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the 2" x 3-3/4" Sweet Sorbet rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the more detailed "sending" word die and the two small flowers in a solid rectangle die from the Sending Dies. Put them on top of the Sweet Sorbet rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Sweet Sorbet (red) side is face up. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the detailed "sending" word cut out.
Carefully slide the stem of the stem and leaves cut out through the loop at the bottom of the "s" in the "sending" word cut out. Flip everything upside down and apply small amounts of Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue to the back of the stem and leaves cut out.
Very carefully adhere the stem and leaves cut out and "sending" word cut out to the front of the card as shown so the "sending" word cut out goes across the bottom of the matted white rectangle at a slight upward angle as shown and the leaves and stem overlaps the left edge of the matted white rectangle a bit as shown. If needed, use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off some excess stem at the bottom.
Carefully remove the protective backing from one of the small flower cut outs. Adhere it to the white rectangle as the dot over the "i."
Pick out the matching flower dies from the Sending Dies. Put them on top of the stamped flower images on the glimmer paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so they are centered over the images. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the flower cut outs to the front of the card as shown so they overlap the tops of the stems and each other a bit.
Cut an 18" piece of the Sweet Sorbet twine from the 2022-2024 In Color Baker's Twine Pack.
Fold the twine in half. Tie a small bow in the center of the folded twine. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the twine bow to the front of the card over the bottom of the stem cut out at the base of the "s" in the "sending" word cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small Parakeet Party dot from the sheet of 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the front of the card in the center of the small flower cut out being used as the dot on the "i" in the word "sending" cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large Parakeet Party dot from the sheet of 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the upper right corner of the matted white rectangle on the card front as shown.
Put a small dot of Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue in the center of the smaller, glimmer paper flower cut out. Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large Parakeet Party dot from the sheet of 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the dot of glue in the center of the smaller, glimmer paper flower cut out.
Note: I found it necessary to also use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to make sure the dot stayed adhered to the glimmer paper.
