Sending Smiles Vase Shaker Birthday |
F un shaker birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Parakeet Party Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 3" from Parakeet Party Cardstock
- 2" x 3-3/4" from Parakeet Party Cardstock
- 2" x 3-3/4" from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
- 1-7/8" x 3-5/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1-1/2" square from Basic White Cardstock
Unlock the Vintage Bottle Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the left side of the large, horizontal white rectangle into the punch. Slide the cardstock down as far as it will go. Get the left side of the cardstock about 3/8" from the left side of the punching area along the side of the bottle. Punch.
As you are ready to stamp using the Sending Smiles Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
WITHOUT ADHERING, slide the vertical 1-3/4" x 3" Parakeet Party rectangle under the punched white rectangle and line up the bottom and left edges.
Mount the small stem with two leaves image from the Sending Smiles Set on Block C. Use the side of the brush tip of the Parakeet Party Stampin' Write Marker to ink up only the stem and the longer leaf on the left side of the image. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the image on the layered white and green rectangle so the top of the stem is about 3/4" from the top of the white rectangle and the stem goes into the bottle punch out near the top right edge.
Pick out the more solid "sending" word die from the Sending Dies. Put it on top of the 2" x 3-3/4" Parakeet Party rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the Parakeet Party "sending" cut out on the white rectangle so it is centered between the right edge of the bottle punch out area and the right edge of the cardstock and the bottom loop of the "g" is about 1/4" from the bottom of the cardstock.
Mount the shorter sentiment of choice from the Sending Smiles Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it just below the word cut out and just to the left of the bottom loop of the "g."
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Sweet Sorbet rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the more detailed "sending" word die and the two small flowers in a solid rectangle die from the Sending Dies. Put them on top of the Sweet Sorbet rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Sweet Sorbet (red) side is face up. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the detailed "sending" word cut out. Adhere it to the center of the more solid "sending" word cut out.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off the top of the "i" on the more solid Parakeet Party part of the "sending" word cut out.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the layered "sending" word cut out in place to the front of the card.
Carefully remove the protective backing from one of the small flower cut outs. Adhere it to the white rectangle as the dot over the "i."
Pick out a Vintage Bottle Shaker Dome.
Peel the protective backing off the FRONT of the rim around the Vintage Bottle Shaker Dome. Adhere the stamped and layered white rectangle over the top of the shaker dome.
Turn the white rectangle with shaker dome attached upside down. Put a few large pinches or a spoonful of beads from the Effervescent Elements inside the shaker dome.
Tip: If you have a flat, open container to put your cardfront down into it will help contain any beads that fall out while you are working.
Peel the protective backing off the BACK of the rim of the Vintage Bottle Shaker Dome. Adhere the stem stamped Parakeet Party rectangle to the back of the white rectangle so the edges along the side and bottom line up. Make sure the stem is pointing up! Press firmly along the edges of the shaker dome to make a tight seal so none of the beads can escape.
Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive along the edges and in the center of the back of the white rectangle with filled shaker dome and Parakeet Party rectangle attached. Remove the protective backings and adhere the shaker dome card front to the front of the Parakeet Party card.
Mount the slightly more angled, small flower image from the Sending Smiles Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small white square.
Pick out the matching flower die from the Sending Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the flower cut out to the front of the card at the end of the stem as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small Pale Papaya opal round from the sheet of 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the small flower cut out that is the dot over the "i."
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large Pale Papaya opal round from the sheet of 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the stamped flower cut out.
Cut an 18" piece of the Sweet Sorbet twine from the 2022-2024 In Color Baker's Twine Pack.
Fold the twine in half. Tie a small bow in the center of the folded twine. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the twine bow to the front of the card over the center of the neck of the shaker dome bottle.
