Secret Message Happy Birthday Card

T his card is quite simple to make but the recipient will be intrigued by the magic hidden panels.

Score the 8" X 5" Melon Mambo card base at 4", then turn over and score at 2" and 6" to create a gate fold card with a mountain fold in the centre of the card back.
Using Paper Trimmer, cut 3 parallel cuts from 2" score line to 6" score line at 1-1/4", 2-1/2" and 3-3/4".
Cut 2 strips of DSP 4-3/4" X 1-3/4" . Adhere these to front panels of card base.
Cut 2 strips of coordinating DSP, different to that above,
5" X 1-15/16 ". The paper should have one side with a pattern suitable for stamping greetings on.
Weave these panels into the inside back of the card so that each side alternates with the other.
Fold the card so that the mountain folded back is uppermost and gently "peel" the 2 sections apart. The hidden message panels will then become visible.
Use Memento ink to stamp greetings in each of the 4 panels of DSP.
To re-hide the secret panels, simply give each side of the card a gentle pull!
Cut the 'Happy Birthday" diecut from the Basic Black card and punch 2 large balloons with the Balloon Bouquet punch.
Cut the diecut in 2 halves and adhere these and 2 balloons to the front of the card. The balloons overlap the edge of the card and are placed in such a way as to keep the card closed. The Crushed Curry Balloon is tucked under the Melon Mambo Balloon.
