Season Of Chic Angled Shells |
P retty birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Petal Pink Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Blushing Bride Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 5" of gold dots on mottled pink and white background design from Texture Chic 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 3" x 3-3/4" of gold four-point flowers on pink background design from Texture Chic 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-1/4" square from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 1-1/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
- 1" x 1-3/4" from Soft Suede Cardstock
- 7/8" x 1-5/8" from Adhesive Sheets
Adhere the gold dotted Texture Chic Designer Paper rectangle to the Blushing Bride rectangle at an angle so the bottom left corner is about 1" from the left edge and about 1/2" from the bottom edge. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess designer paper on the top and right edges. Don't worry that it doesn't cover the upper right corner, that will be hidden in a later step.
As you are ready to stamp using the Season Of Chic Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the more solid scallop shell image from the Season Of Chic Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the large Very Vanilla rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp every so often. Let some of the images go off the edges.
Mount the more detailed scallop shell image from the Season Of Chic Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Blushing Bride Ink Pad. Stamp over the top of the more solid scallop shell images on the vanilla rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Mount the smaller, sparser splatter image from the Season Of Chic Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the stamped Very Vanilla rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp every so often, but stamp some images without re-inking. Change the orientation of the stamp every so often. Let some of the images go off the edges. Let some of the images overlap each other and the previously stamped shell images.
Adhere the stamped Very Vanilla rectangle to the Blushing Bride/designer paper rectangle so it covers the upper right corner, but some of the angled designer paper shows on the left and bottom edges. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess cardstock on the top and right sides.
Adhere the layered cardstock/designer paper rectangle to the front of the Petal Pink card.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Soft Suede rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the small, detailed conch die from the Chic Dies. Put it on top of the Soft Suede rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Soft Suede (brown) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the conch cut out. Adhere it to the bottom right corner of the card front as shown.
Pick out the piece of net die from the Chic Dies. Put it on top of the gold flowers on pink Texture Chic Designer Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick and/or Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip to remove the pieces.
Mount the birthday sentiment from the Season Of Chic Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Blushing Bride Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla square.
Pick out the large, open scallop shell die from the Chic Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets square. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets square to one side of the small Petal Pink square. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the small, detailed scallop shell die from the Chic Dies. Put it on top of the Petal Pink square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Petal Pink side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Without adhering, lay the net piece cut out on the front of the card at a slight angle as shown near the bottom of the angled designer paper/scallop shell stamped cardstock layers.
Adhere the sentiment scallop shell cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the net piece cut out on the left edge as shown.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the Petal Pink detailed scallop shell cut out. Adhere it to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower right side of the sentiment scallop shell cut out as shown.
Carefully remove the net piece cut out with shells attached from the front of the card. Turn it upside down and add Stampin' Seal to the back where it is hidden by the sentiment scallop shell cut out. Turn back over and adhere back in place.
Cut at 16" piece of Linen Thread.
Fold the thread in half. Tie a small bow in the center of the folded thread. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the thread bow to the front of the card at a slight angle at the base of the scallop shell cut outs.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 5 large and small Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral gems from a sheet of Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown.
