Scary Cute Sweet Fairy |
S weet Halloween card made with Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Highland Heather Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Smoky Slate Cardstock
- 3" x 5" of small gray and white plaid design from Gingham Cottage 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 3" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
Adhere the piece of gray and white plaid Gingham Cottage Designer Paper to the right side of the vertical Smoky Slate rectangle so there is about 1/8" of gray showing on the top, right, and bottom edges.
Adhere a strip of the Highland Heather washi tape from Glitter Washi Tape horizontally across the gray cardstock/designer paper rectangle so it is about 1-3/4" from the bottom . Use Paper Snips Scissors as needed to trim the washi tape.
Adhere the cardstock/designer paper/washi tape rectangle to the front of the Highland Heather card so the designer paper is on the right side.
Carefully remove a magnet from the back of the Stamparatus.
Tip: To make it easier to grab the magnets and to help keep them from breaking if they snap together, wrap them in strips of washi tape or masking tape leaving folded over pieces to grab on to.
Place the Stamparatus in front of you with the open sides of the Stamparatus on the left and bottom. Insert one hinged plate into the Stamparatus on the right side so it is in the topmost hinge space. Put the Stamparatus Foam Mat on the base of the Stamparatus.
Place the piece of Basic White Cardstock on the base of the Stamparatus so it is vertical and is tight to the top of the Stamparatus base and somewhere near the center. Put the magnet horizontally across the bottom of the cardstock rectangle to hold it in place.
Pick out the fairy image from the Scary Cute Set. Place the stamp rubber side down on the cardstock on the Stamparatus base so it is centered side to side about 1/2" from the top edge. Close the plate on the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Highland Heather Ink Pad. If you get excess ink on the plate, you can wipe it off with a baby wipe or tissue. Close the plate onto the cardstock on the Stamparatus base and press down firmly. Open the plate.
Tip: If the image isn't dark enough to suit you, re-ink it and repeat.
Tip: Slide a Clear-Mount Stamp Case under the plate before inking up the stamp. This gives you a firm, flat surface to push against making it easier to ink up the stamp.
Tip: If you have a Highland Heather Stampin' Spot on hand, use it to ink up the stamp instead of a full sized ink pad. It will give you more control and will help keep stray ink from getting on the plate.
Remove the stamped white rectangle from the Stamparatus.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Scary Cute Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the stamped white rectangle just below the stamped fairy image.
Pick out the large open label die from the Scary Silhouettes Dies. Put it on top of the stamped white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image and sentiment. Run through the machine.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Highland Heather Stampin' Write Marker to carefully outline the edges of the label cut out.
Adhere the label cut out to the front of the card as shown so the bottom just overlaps the top of the washi tape strip and the left edge is about 3/8" from the left side of the card.
Cut a 10" piece of the White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Tie a bow in the center of the ribbon and trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow at a slight angle to the lower right corner of the label cut out as shown.
Use the Take Your Pick to peel up 2 small jewels from the sheet of Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure to get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere one to the top of the fairy's wand and the other to the top of the fairy's crown.
Use the Take Your Pick to peel up one large jewel from the sheet of Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure you get the adhesive backing as well and adhere it in the upper right corner of the card.
