Santa's Suit Mini Pizza Box of 3" x 3" Cards |
C ute gift box holding 3" x 3" note cards made with Stampin' Up! products.
As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock using the Santa's Suit or Spooky Cat stamps, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
As you get ready to color in any images with the Stampin' Blends Marker, make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the cardstock that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
For the Box:
1) Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 3-1/4" square of red and white stripes design from Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper
- 3" square from Real Red Cardstock
- 3" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 1-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
2) Fold together the Mini Pizza Box.
3) Adhere the square of designer paper to the top of the box.
4) Use the scallop circle framelit that cuts out a 2-1/2" scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Framelits and the Big Shot to cut out a scalloped circle from the red square.
5) Stamp the outline image of Santa's back on one side of the large white rectangle using Basic Black Ink.
6) Stamp the inside of Santa's underwear image in Real Red Ink inside the previously stamped image.
7) If needed, use the Real Red Marker to fill in any white spaces on Santa's underwear.
8) Use the Ivory Stampin' Blends Marker to color in Santa's head, hands, and feet.
9) Stamp the sentiment in Real Red just to the left of Santa.
10) Use the smooth circle framelit that cuts out a 2-3/8" circle from the Layering Circles Framelits and the Big Shot to cut out the Santa and sentiment.
11) Adhere the white circle to the scalloped red circle and then to the center of the box lid.
12) Stamp the outline Santa's hat image in Real Red Ink on the small piece of white cardstock.
13) Stamp the inside of the hat image in Real Red Ink inside the previously stamped hat image.
14) If needed, use the Real Red Marker to fill in any white spaces on the hat.
15) Use the matching hat framelit from the Santa Builder Framelits and the Big Shot to cut out the hat.
16) Adhere the hat to Santa's head at a slight angle on the left side using a Stampin' Dimensional.
17) Tie a small bow in a piece of Real Red 1/8" Solid Ribbon and trim the ends. Adhere the bow to the bottom left side of the circles at a slight angle using a Mini Glue Dot.
For the Santa's Plaid Underwear card:
1) Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 3" x 6" and scored at 3"
- 2-3/4" square from Garden Green Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" square of red, green, black, and yellow plaid design from Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper
- scrap of Whisper White Cardstock at least 1-1/2" wide
2) Stamp sentiment at a slight angle in upper left corner of Garden Green square using Basic Black Ink.
3) Adhere a piece of red Mini Tinsel Trim Combo Pack tinsel about 1/4" from the bottom of the green square.
4) Adhere the green square to the front of the Real Red card.
5) Stamp the outline Santa's back image in Basic Black Ink on the piece of white cardstock.
6) Use the matching Santa Builder Framelit and Big Shot to cut out the Santa image.
7) Use the Ivory Stampin' Blends Marker to color in Santa's head, hands, and feet.
8) Stamp the outline Santa's back image in Basic Black Ink on the piece of designer paper.
9) Use Paper Snips to cut out the underwear only from the designer paper.
10) Adhere the underwear cut out to the underwear on the stamped image of Santa's back.
11) Adhere the Santa's back image to the right side of the card front just above the tinsel.
12) Use the fine tip of the Real Red Marker to draw diagonal lines very close together across the scrap of white cardstock.
13) Use the set of 5 candy canes framelit from the Santa Builder Framelits, the Big Shot, and the Precision Plate to cut out candy canes. Remove them with the Die Brush.
14) Adhere 3 of the candy canes behind Santa's right hand using Fine-Tip Glue.
15) Tie a small piece of tinsel trim to the tinsel trim on the card front and trim the ends.
For the Santa's Hat and Boots card:
1) Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 3" x 6" and scored at 3"
- 2-3/4" square of red and white stripes design from Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1" x 3" of Real Red Cardstock
- 1" x 1-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Whisper White Cardstock
2) Adhere the designer paper square to the front of the Real Red card so that the stripes are horizontal.
3) Stamp the sentiment on the right side of the 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" piece of white cardstock.
4) Punch both pieces of red cardstock with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch.
5) Adhere the stamped white strip to the punched borders so that just a tiny bit of the scalloped edges show along the top and bottom. Trim off excess cardstock.
6) Adhere the white/red strip to the front of the card.
7) Stamp both boot images in Basic Black Ink on either end of the 1" x 2" piece of white cardstock.
8) Use the matching boot framelits from the Santa Builder Framelits and the Big Shot to cut out the boots.
9) Adhere the boots to the left of the sentiment on the card front so they overlap at the top a bit and are slightly angled.
10) Stamp the outline Santa's hat image in Real Red Ink on the small piece of white cardstock.
11) Stamp the inside of the hat image in Real Red Ink inside the previously stamped hat image.
12) If needed, use the Real Red Marker to fill in any white spaces on the hat.
13) Use the matching hat framelit from the Santa Builder Framelits and the Big Shot to cut out the hat.
14) Adhere the hat to the card front on top of the boots using a Stampin' Dimensional.
For the Santa's Laundry card:
1) Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 3" x 6" and scored at 3"
- 2-3/4" square of tiny white dots on pale blue design from Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 1-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Whisper White Cardstock
2) Carefully ink up only the "Happy Christmas to All" portion of the one sentiment on the Basic Black Ink Pad. Stamp in the upper left corner of the designer paper square.
3) Clean the stamp thoroughly and make sure it is dry.
4) Carefully ink up only the "And to All a Good Night" portion of the one sentiment on the Basic Black Ink Pad. Stamp in the lower right corner of the designer paper square.
5) Adhere a piece of Whisper White Baker's Twine across the stamped designer paper square at an upward angle from the left middle to about 1/2" from the top on the right.
6) Adhere the designer paper square to the front of the Real Red card.
7) Stamp the outline Santa's hat image in Real Red Ink on the 1" x 1-1/2" piece of white cardstock.
8) Stamp the inside of the hat image in Real Red Ink inside the previously stamped hat image.
9) If needed, use the Real Red Marker to fill in any white spaces on the hat.
10) Use the matching hat framelit from the Santa Builder Framelits and the Big Shot to cut out the hat.
11) Stamp the outline Santa's coat image in Basic Black Ink on the 1-1/2" x 2" piece of white cardstock.
12) Stamp the inside of the coat image in Real Red Ink inside the previously stamped coat image.
13) If needed, use the Real Red Marker to fill in any white spaces on the coat.
14) Use the matching coat framelit from the Santa Builder Framelits and the Big Shot to cut out the coat.
15) Stamp the outline Santa's pants and suspenders image in Basic Black Ink on the 1-1/2" square of white cardstock.
16) Stamp the inside of the pants image in Real Red Ink inside the previously stamped pants image.
17) If needed, use the Real Red Marker to fill in any white spaces on the pants.
18) Stamp the inside of the suspenders image in Basic Black Ink inside the previously stamped suspenders image.
19) If needed, use the Basic Black Marker to fill in any white spaces on the suspenders.
20) Use the matching pants and suspenders framelit from the Santa Builder Framelits and the Big Shot to cut out the pants and suspenders.
21) Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the coat, pants and suspenders, and hat to the card front so they appear to be hanging from the twine at slight angles so they overlap a bit.
22) Stamp the outline two clothespins image in Basic Black Ink on the 1" x 2" piece of white cardstock two times on either end of the cardstock.
23) Stamp the inside of the two clothespins image in Real Red Ink inside the previously stamped clothespins images.
24) If needed, use the Real Red Marker to fill in any white spaces on the clothespins.
25) Use the matching two clothespins framelit from the Santa Builder Framelits, the Precision Base Plate, and the Big Shot to cut out the clothespins. You will need to cut twice. Remove cardstock using the Die Brush.
26) Pick out the three best clothespins and adhere them to the card front using rolled up Mini Glue Dots so they appear to be clipping the clothes to the twine.
For the Santa's Bottom card:
1) Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer and Paper Snips:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 3" x 6" and scored at 3"
- 2-3/4" square of red and white peppermint candies on light green background design from Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 2-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- "Merry Christmas" bubble hand cut from various bubbles with various sentiments in various languages design from Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper
- 3/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
2) Adhere the designer paper square to the front of the Old Olive card.
3) Adhere the "Merry Christmas" bubble to the front of the card in the upper left corner at a slight angle.
4) Stamp the outline Santa's back image in Basic Black Ink on the piece of white cardstock.
5) Stamp the inside of Santa's underwear image in Real Red Ink inside the previously stamped image.
6) If needed, use the Real Red Marker to fill in any white spaces on Santa's underwear.
7) Use the Ivory Stampin' Blends Marker to color in Santa's head, hands, and feet.
8) Use the matching Santa Builder Framelit and Big Shot to cut out the Santa image.
9) Place the Santa's back cut out on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Use one blade of the Paper Snips to poke a slit along the top edge of the back flap on Santa's underwear. Then, use the Snips to carefully cut along the top and both sides of the underwear flap so it will fold down.
10) Fold the underwear flap down and put a piece of scrap paper between the flap and Santa's legs.
11) Use the Real Red Marker to color in the flap.
12) Use the Basic Black Marker fine tip to draw in the buttons on either side of the flap and to carefully outline the flap.
13) Use the Ivory Stampin' Blends Marker to color all over the 3/4" square of white cardstock.
14) Use the Basic Black Marker fine tip to draw Santa's butt crack in the bottom middle of the colored white piece.
15) Adhere the Santa's back image over the colored white piece so you can see Santa's butt crack through the flap.
16) Cut off any excess cardstock if needed.
17) Adhere the Santa's back image to the right side of the card front so it overlaps the bottom right corner of the "Merry Christmas" bubble just a bit.
For the Tree Trimming Tag card:
1) Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer and Paper Snips:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 3" x 6" and scored at 3"
- 2-3/4" square of various ornaments on vanilla background design from Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- scrap of Old Olive Cardstock at least 1" wide
2) Adhere the designer paper square to the front of the Old Olive card.
3) Stamp the sentiment in the center of the vertical white rectangle in Real Red Ink.
4) Use the tag framelit and the set of three trees framelit and the Big Shot to cut out the tag so the trees are cut out along the bottom of the tag below the sentiment.
5) Adhere the tag over the scrap of Old Olive cardstock so the green shows through the tree cut outs. Trim off excess cardstock if needed.
6) Stick a small piece of Old Olive 1/8" Sheer Ribbon through the hole in the top of the tag and center the tag in the middle of the ribbon.
7) Tie the ribbon in place by tying a bow around it with a piece of Old Olive Baker's Twine.
8) Trim the ends of the ribbon and twine.
9) Adhere the tag to the front of the card at a slight angle in the middle.
For the Mittens Cat card:
1) Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer and Paper Snips:
- card from Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 3" x 6" and scored at 3"
- 2-3/4" square of snowflakes on gray background design from Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 1-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
2) Adhere the designer paper square to the front of the Whisper White Thick card.
3) Use the Cat Punch to punch out a cat from the large piece of white cardstock
4) Use the cat face image from the Spooky Cat Set and Basic Black Ink to stamp a face on the cat punch out.
5) Adhere a small piece of red tinsel trim from the Mini Tinsel Trim Combo Pack around the cat's neck.
6) Adhere the cat punch out to the front of the card.
7) Stamp the outline mittens with string image from the Santa's Suit Set in Real Red Ink on the small piece of white cardstock.
11) Stamp the inside of the solid mittens image from the Santa's Suit Set in Real Red Ink inside the previously stamped mittens image.
12) If needed, use the Real Red Marker to fill in any white spaces on the mittens.
13) Use the matching mittens with string framelit from the Santa Builder Framelits and the Big Shot to cut out the mittens. Use the Die Brush to remove cardstock.
14) Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the mittens to the card front so they appear to be hanging out of the cat's mouth.
