Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" of rows of gold medallions on green background design from Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Poppy Parade Cardstock
- 1" x 8-1/2" from Poppy Parade Cardstock
Put a couple of short lines of SNAIL Adhesive in the center of the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Paper rectangle on the gold medallions on green side. Put thin lines of Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the inside edges of the front flap of the laser-cut card from the Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards & Tin.
Adhere the designer paper rectangle to the back side of the front of the laser-cut card so the gold medallions on green shows through the cut outs on the card front.
Rub the Embossing Buddy across the Very Vanilla strip.
As you are ready to stamp using the Royal Peacock Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the “So Very Proud of You” sentiment from the Royal Peacock Set on Block C. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it on one end of the strip of vanilla cardstock in the center leaving room to punch it out.
Lay the stamped cardstock on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers the stamped sentiment. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Tip: I use a fine-tip paintbrush to knock off any excess powder that is stuck anywhere I don't want it.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use a clothespin to hold the cardstock while using the Heat Tool to avoid burning your fingers.
Unlock the 2” Circle Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Get the heat embossed sentiment lined up in the punching area so it is centered. Punch.
Unlock the 2-1/4” Circle Punch. Slide the larger Poppy Parade Cardstock strip into the punch and punch.
Unlock the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. Slide one long side of the skinny Poppy Parade strip into the punch so it butts up against the guide at the back of the punch. Punch. Slide the punched cardstock over a little bit and line up the punched area with the silver design printed on the base of the punch. Punch again. Repeat as necessary until the entire length has been punched.
Soften the punched lace border strip up a bit by running it across the edge of the Bone Folder a couple of times and then pleat folding it along the whole length every 1/4" to 1/2".
Put small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive along the back edges of the 2-1/4" Poppy Parade circle punch out as close to the edge as you can get. Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape strips.
Carefully adhere the lace border punched strip to the back of the circle punch out so that the large bumps are sticking out and the small bumps are barely behind the circle on the Tear & Tape. Gently fold the punched strip as you work it around the edges of the circle. You should have just enough of a punched strip to go around the whole circle.
Adhere the heat embossed sentiment circle punch out to the front of the layered Poppy Parade circle punch out so that the seam where the two ends of the lace border punch strip meet is on the lower right edge.
Use additional strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the layered circle sentiment to attach it to the front of the card in the center. This should cover any SNAIL you used on the center of the designer paper to attach it to the front of the card.
Cut a 9" piece of Very Vanilla 3/8" Scalloped Lace Trim.
Tie a small bow in the center of the lace trim. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower right edge of the heat embossed sentiment circle punch out and covers the seam between the ends of the lace border punched strip where they meet.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 different sizes of gem from a sheet of Gilded Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the front of the card.
