Ringed With Nature Poinsettia Swag |
Q uick and easy Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of closely packed poinsettias design from Boughs Of Holly 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2 squares each 2" from Basic White Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Boughs Of Holly Designer Paper to the front of the Cherry Cobbler card.
Pick out the long, skinny flower swag die from the Flowers Of Home Dies. Put it on top of the bottom of the horizontal white cardstock on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered side to side and is about 3/4" from the bottom. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Note: You are using the large white rectangle with the swag cut out of it for this project. Keep the cut out swag to use on another project if you wish.
As you are ready to stamp using the Ringed With Nature Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "merry christmas" sentiment from the Ringed With Nature Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it on the top of the white rectangle with the swag cut out of it so it is centered side to side and centered between the top of the swag and the top of the rectangle.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle with the swag cut out of it to the front of the card so it is centered.
Mount the poinsettia flower image from the Ringed With Nature Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp the image in the center of one of the white squares. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it in the center of the other white square.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the poinsettia flowers by hand.
Adhere the two flowers together so they make a fuller flower.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered flowers to the front of the card so they are centered over the center of the swag cut out area.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one large dot of any color from the sheet of Brushed Metallic Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the flower.
