Ringed With Nature Poinsettia Christmas |
N ature themed Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" of holly berries and green leaves on dark green background design from A Walk In The Forest 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" square from Pecan Pie Cardstock
- 2" x 4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 3/4" x 3-1/2" from Garden Green Cardstock
Adhere the piece of A Walk In The Forest Designer Paper to the center of the large Garden Green rectangle and then to the center of the Cherry Cobbler card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Ringed With Nature Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the tree rings image from the Ringed With Nature Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Pecan Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Pecan Pie square.
Pick out the largest, individual tree ring die from the dies included in the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder. Put it inside the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder so it fits into the grooves of the large tree ring in the upper right corner of the folder when the hinge is at the top and the Stampin' Up! logo is face up. Place the stamped tree ring Pecan Pie square inside the folder so it covers the die. Run through the machine.
Note: This will cut out and emboss the tree ring all at the same time!
Adhere the tree ring cut out to the front of the card so it is about 5/8" from the right side and about 3/4" from the bottom.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin Garden Green strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
Mount the "merry christmas" sentiment from the Ringed With Nature Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched green strip so it is as close as possible to the punched edge with the punched edge on the left side.
Adhere the punched sentiment strip to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower left side of the tree rings cut out and the bottom of the strip is about 1" from the bottom of the card and the punched left edge is about 5//8" from the left edge.
Mount the poinsettia flower image from the Ringed With Nature Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it two times onto the small vanilla strip leaving room to cut them out. Remember to re-ink the stamp before stamping the second time.
Cut out both poinsettia flower images by hand using Paper Snips Scissors.
Adhere the two flowers together so they are slightly offset and make a fuller flower.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the layered flowers to the front of the card as shown so they overlap the right end of the sentiment strip.
Pick out a Textural Elements piece from the package.
Use the brush tip of the Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends to color the stems of the Textural Element.
Use the brush tip of the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends to color the berries of the Textural Element.
Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the colored Textural Element to the card front as shown so the stem is tucked under the edge of the layered flowers.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one large Wild Wheat dot from the sheet of 2023-2025 In Color Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the layered flowers.
