Ride the Range Birthday Card |
|
I love making birthday cards with flowers, but sometimes you need a different kind of birthday card. Ride the Range stamp set has a number of images that can provide variety in card making.
|
Card Base: Cut Cherry Cobbler 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Soft Suede wood grain print paper 3 ⅞ X 5 ⅛ . I used a paper from the Neutrals 6X6 paper pack. Attach to Cherry Cobbler card base. I cut the paper this size, so I had a piece left over from the 6 X 6 paper to use on the envelope flap.
Using Stitched Rectangles, cut a Cherry Cobbler piece using the fourth smallest die in the large grouping of dies and cut a Very Vanilla using the third smallest die in the large grouping of dies.
Stamp birthday greetings in Cherry Cobbler ink and the horse / rider in Soft Suede ink on the Very Vanilla stitched rectangle.
Attach Cherry Cobbler stitched rectangle to left side of Soft Suede wood grain print paper card mat. Attach the stamped Very Vanilla stitched rectangle to the Cherry Cobbler stitched rectangle with dimensionals.
Die cut the windmill from Copper foil. I attached an adhesive sheet on the back of the foil before die cutting, so it was easier to attach to the card front. Attach the windmill to the left of stitched rectangles.
That’s it; you have finished your card front. For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Very Vanilla 4 X 5 ¼. I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set on the inside of the card.
I used the remaining piece from cutting the card mat (2 ⅜ X 6) to cover the envelope flap. You will have a small piece of envelop flap showing. When you trim the remaining paper, also trim the envelope flap so that only the print paper shows on the envelope flap.
