Rhino Ready Celebrating Rhino |
F un celebration card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, designer paper, Masking Paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Crushed Curry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/4" square from Masking Paper
- 2" x 4-1/4" of small yellow dots on white background design from Delightfully Eclectic 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 4-1/4" of small white arches in alternating lines on black background design from Delightfully Eclectic 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines of arches are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/2" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/4" of small white arches in alternating lines on black background design from Delightfully Eclectic 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines of arches are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 7/8" x 3-1/8" from Adhesive Sheets
Mount the prancing rhino image from the Rhino Ready Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the vertical white rectangle so it is centered side to side and is about 1/4" from the bottom. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the prancing rhino image on Block D with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the Masking Paper square.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the rhino image stamped on the Masking Paper. Cu just inside the outer lines of the image. For this card, you don't have to cut out the whole image, just cut from his chin down.
Adhere the Masking Paper rhino cut out to the top of the image stamped on the white rectangle.
Mount the bunch of grass image from the Rhino Ready Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it repeatedly across the bottom of the stamped and masked white rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let the bottom edges of the images go off the bottom edge of the cardstock.
Remove the Masking Paper rhino cut out.
Tip: Save the Masking Paper rhino cut out in the box with the stamps to use on a future project.
Place the stamped white rectangle on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color in the grass,
Use the Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color in the bird on the rhino's back and the rhino's horn and toe nails.
Use the Light and Dark Smoky Slate and Basic Black Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the rhino.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends to blend and soften the rhino and to remove any unwanted color.
Pick out the squared off diamond shape die from the Nested Essentials Dies that cuts out a shape that is 3-7/8" long. Put it on top of the yellow dotted designer paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Leave the die out.
Put the squared off diamond shape die on top of the 2" x 4-1/4" black with white arches designer paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Cut the black and white cut out in half horizontally.
Adhere the pieces of black and white cut out to the back of the yellow dots cut out so about 1/8" of black and white pokes out along the top and bottom edges. The left and right edges will all be even.
Adhere the layered cut outs to the top of the stamped and colored white rectangle so they are about 3/8" from the top. The left and right edges will be even.
Adhere the stamped and colored white rectangle with die cuts attached to the center of the black rectangle and then to the front of the Crushed Curry card.
Pick out the more solid "celebrate" die from the Wanted To Say Dies. Put it on top of the Crushed Curry rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to the back side of the 1" x 3-1/4" black with white arches designer paper rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the more detailed "celebrate" die from the Wanted To Say Dies. Put it on top of the black and white arches designer paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the black and white side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the designer paper "celebrate" cut out. Adhere it to the center of the more solid Crushed Curry "celebrate" cut out.
Adhere the matted "celebrate" cut out to the center of the matted diamond shape cut outs at the top of the card.
