Quiet Meadow Kind Pink Flower |
P retty thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and shimmer vellum pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Polished Pink Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3/4" x 2-1/8" of one of the Polished Pink designs from 2021-2023 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortment
- 1-3/4" square of Polished Pink vellum from 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum
DO THIS STEP FIRST!
Mount the single, large flower image from the Quiet Meadow Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Magenta Madness Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Polished Pink vellum square on the shimmery side of the vellum. Set aside to allow to dry.
Mount the text block image from the Quiet Meadow Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Polished Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it on the vertical Basic White rectangle in the center about 5/8" from the bottom edge.
Mount the splatter image from the Quiet Meadow Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Polished Pink Ink Pad. Stamp once on Grid Paper, then WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp it at an angle over the top of the text block stamped on the white rectangle. Repeat a couple more times varying the angle slightly each time until you have the splatter coverage you want, just remember to stamp off each time before stamping on the cardstock.
Mount the larger of the tiny, single flower images from the Quiet Meadow Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Polished Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it near the top of the splatters at least 2" above the top of the text block and about 1-1/4" from the right side of the white rectangle.
Mount the smaller of the tiny, single flower images from the Quiet Meadow Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Polished Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it near the left side of the splatters about 1/2" to 3/4" above the text block. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again on the right side of the splatters just above the right end of the text block.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the front of the Polished Pink card.
Mount the one line sentiment of your choice from the Quiet Meadow Set on Block G. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small strip of Polished Pink designer paper.
Lay the stamped sentiment on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some White Powder from the Basics Stampin' Emboss Powders so it covers the stamped sentiment. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use a clothespin to hold the cardstock while using the Heat Tool to avoid burning your fingers.
Adhere the heat embossed designer paper sentiment strip to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and overlaps the top of the text block image.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the large stamped flower on the shimmer vellum.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensionals in the center of the back of the cut out flower image to adhere it to the card front so it overlaps the upper right corner of the designer paper sentiment strip.
Cut a 3" piece of the Polished Pink 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the card front over the bottom right corner of the designer paper sentiment strip.
Pick out three different sizes of the Flirty Flamingo gems from the From My Heart Faceted Gems using the putty tip of the Take Your Pick tool. Use Mini Glue Dots or small dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere them randomly to the card front amongst the splatter images around the shimmer vellum flower.
Pick out one large Real Red gem from the From My Heart Faceted Gems using the putty tip of the Take Your Pick tool. Use a small dot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere it to the center of the shimmer vellum flower.
Note: A Mini Glue Dot will NOT work to hold this gem in place. The shimmer vellum doesn't work well with Mini Glue Dots for some reason. You will need to use one of the liquid glues.
