Quiet Meadow Glimmer Fern |
P retty card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and shimmer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pretty Peacock Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 4-1/2" of Lost Lagoon shimmer paper from Soft Shimmer 12" x 12" Paper Combo Pack
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Pool Party Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Oceanfront Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large completely horizontal brushstroke image from the Oceanfront Set on Block I so the darker lines are on the bottom. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower left corner of the horizontal white rectangle so it is about 5/8" from the bottom and about 1/4" from the left edge. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the large completely horizontal brushstroke image on Block I with the Lost Lagoon Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the horizontal white rectangle so it is about 3/8" from the bottom and about 1/4" from the right edge. It will overlap the previously stamped Pretty Peacock image a bit. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the large completely horizontal brushstroke image on Block I with the Pool Party Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the horizontal white rectangle so it is about 3/8" from the top and about 5/8" from the right edge. It will overlap the previously stamped Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon images a bit. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy and put it away.
Mount the splatter image from the Quiet Meadow Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it at an angle a few times in the upper right corner of the stamped blocks until you have the splatter coverage you want. Stamp the image a time or two without re-inking the stamp.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the large Pool Party rectangle and then to the front of the Pretty Peacock card.
Pick out the large, fern-like leaves die from the Meadow Dies. Put it on top of the Lost Lagoon shimmer paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine a couple of times. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the fern cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the stamped blocks of color on the left side.
Mount the one line sentiment of your choice from the Quiet Meadow Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the skinny Pool Party strip leaving room to cut it out.
Pick out the long, skinny label die from the Meadow Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the bottom of the fern cut out stem and the bottom right side of the stamped block images.
Place the card in the Powder Pal try included with the Embossing Additions Tool Kit.
Put little drops of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the upper right and lower left corners of the card front. Sprinkle on some Iridescent Shaker Circles. Use a clean Clear Block D to press the circles into the glue. Tap off excess circles and return them to the container to use again later.
Cut a 9" piece of the silver trim included in the Simply Elegant Trim.
Tie a small bow in the center of the trim. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the trim bow to the front of the card as shown at a slight angle centered over the lower left corner of the sentiment label cut out.
