Quiet Meadow Gingham Flower Thoughts |
P retty thinking of you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Calypso Coral Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of large orange/pink and white plaid design from Gingham Cottage 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/8" x 5-1/2" of small orange/pink plaid design from Gingham Cottage 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 4-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 1-1/2" from Petal Pink Cardstock
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" stitched rectangle from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Put it on top one short end of the small orange/pink plaid rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is at an angle and will cut a notch into the short end of the rectangle. Make sure no paper or die overlaps the edges of the platform. Run through the machine.
Adhere the notched, small plaid designer paper rectangle to the large plaid design rectangle vertically so the notches at the bottom are about 1/4" from the bottom and left edge is about 3/4" from the left edge. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off any excess small plaid design at the top edge as needed.
Adhere the layered large plaid designer paper to the center of the Old Olive rectangle and then to the front of the Calypso Coral card.
Pick out the long, skinny, daisy like flower with bud and leaves die from the Meadow Dies. Put it on top of the white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Place the flower die cut on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Use the brush tip of the Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker to color the leaves and stems on the flower cut out.
Use the brush tip of the Petal Pink Stampin' Write Marker to color the flower and bud on the flower cut out.
Use the fine tip of the Calypso Coral Stampin' Write Marker to draw in some lines radiating from the center out on the flower and from the base up on the bud.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the colored flower cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the left side of the small plaid designer paper banner as shown.
Mount the one line sentiment of your choice from the Quiet Meadow Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the skinny Petal Pink strip leaving room to cut it out.
Pick out the long, skinny label die from the Meadow Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the stem of the flower cut out just below the bottom leaf.
Pick out the open-winged, small butterfly die from the Meadow Dies. Put it on top of the remaining small Petal Pink rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use a thin line of Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the back of the butterfly cut out along the vertical body to adhere the butterfly cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the right edge of the small plaid designer paper banner a bit. Gently fold the wings upward if desired.
Cut a 10" piece of the White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the front of the card at a slight angle so it is centered over the stem just below the left bottom corner of the sentiment label cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large Sweet Sorbet sequin from a sheet of Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the front of the card in the center of the flower as shown.
