P retty Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of greenish white poinsettia flowers with dark green leaves on light green background pattern from Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper - FOR CARD 1
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Garden Green Cardstock - FOR CARD 2
- 2-3/8" x 2-7/8" from Garden Green Cardstock (FOR CARD 1) or Old Olive Cardstock (FOR CARD 2)
- 2-1/4" x 2-3/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 3" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" from Garden Green Cardstock (FOR CARD 1) or from Old Olive Cardstock (FOR CARD 2)
FOR CARD 2 - Insert the large Garden Green rectangle into the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
FOR CARD 1 - Adhere the rectangle of Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper to the front of the Old Olive card.
FOR CARD 2 - Adhere the dry embossed Garden Green rectangle to the front of the Old Olive card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Poinsettia Petals Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "May Magic & Wonder bloom this holiday" sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the rectangle of Very Vanilla Cardstock so it is centered side to side and is about 1/4" from the top edge.
Adhere the sentiment stamped vanilla rectangle to the large Garden Green rectangle. - FOR CARD 1 ONLY
Adhere the sentiment stamped vanilla rectangle to the large Old Olive rectangle. - FOR CARD 2 ONLY
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Bumblebee 1/4" Gingham Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom of the matted sentiment rectangle so it is about 1/4" from the bottom. Flip the rectangle over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Garden Green/Old Olive rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the card so it is about 3/4" from the top and right edges.
Mount the large, full poinsettia image from the Poinsettia Petals Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla square.
Place the stamped poinsettia image on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Rub a Sponge Dauber across the open Old Olive Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub excess ink off on Grid Paper. Lightly rub color onto the petals of the stamped poinsettia image from the center to the edges. Leave the tips uncolored. Get more ink on the Sponge Dauber as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Use the brush tip of the Bumblebee Marker to color in the center dots on the stamped poinsettia image.
Pick out the full poinsettia die that matches the stamped and colored poinsettia image from the Poinsettia Dies. Put it on top of the stamped poinsettia image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the tool.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the poinsettia cut out to the front of the card so it is in the lower left corner and overlaps the bottom left corner of the matted sentiment rectangle. Make sure not to cover any of the sentiment.
Mount the larger outline holly leaf image from the Poinsettia Petals Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the smaller Garden Green rectangle FOR CARD 1 or the smaller Old Olive rectangle FOR CARD 2.
Mount the larger interior holly leaf image from the Poinsettia Petals Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad FOR CARD 1 or the Old Olive Ink Pad FOR CARD 2. Stamp it inside the previously stamped outline holly leaf image.
Pick out the matching sized holly leaf outline die for the stamped holly leaf image from the Poinsettia Dies. Put it on top of the stamped leaf image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Also pick out the matching solid, interior leaf die for the stamped holly leaf image. Put it inside the outline die so the dies are NOT overlapping each other. The solid, interior leaf die does NOT cut, it just embosses the veins into the leaf. Run through the tool.
Adhere the holly leaf cut out to the front of the card so it is tucked under the poinsettia flower cut out on the right side and overlaps the ribbon and the bottom of the sentiment rectangle.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Bumblebee 1/4" Gingham Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon piece under the ribbon already on the card front on the right side. Tie the ribbon in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a medium dot from a sheet of Gold Glitter Enamel Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the poinsettia flower cut out.
