Pocketful of Sunshine Poppy Glasses |
P layful card using retiring Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and Window Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Poppy Parade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pacific Point Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from So Saffron Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square from Pacific Point Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Poppy Parade Cardstock
- 1" x 2-1/2" from Window Sheets
As you are ready to stamp using the Pocketful of Sunshine Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "pocketful of sunshine" sentiment from the Pocketful of Sunshine Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the large So Saffron rectangle.
Insert the stamped So Saffron rectangle into the Oh My Stars Embossing Folder so that you can read the stamped sentiment and the logos printed on the front flap of the folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on a Cutting Pad on the Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the stamped and dry embossed So Saffron rectangle to the center of the large Pacific Point rectangle and then to the front of the Poppy Parade card.
Mount the Burlap background stamp on Block F. Place it rubber side up on your work surface. Ink it up by pouncing or rubbing the Pacific Point Ink Pad all over it. Leave the inked up Burlap stamp face up on your work surface. Fold a piece of Grid Paper over the top and rub gently. Remove the Grid Paper. WITHOUT re-inking, place the square of Pacific Point Cardstock on the stamp. Fold the Grid Paper up and over the top of everything and rub firmly. Using the Grid Paper protects your hands from getting ink on them.
Mount the stitched pocket outline image from the Pocketful of Sunshine Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Pacific Point Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the lightly burlap stamped Pacific Point square.
Pick out the pocket die from the Pocket Dies. Place the stamped pocket image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the pocket die on top so it is centered over the stamped pocket image. Don't worry if you won't get all of the side tabs, you are going to cut them off anyway. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use Paper Snips to trim off the side flaps by following the dry embossed score lines.
Cut a 2" piece of Poppy Parade 1/4" Mini Striped Ribbon.
Fold the ribbon in half. Adhere it to the lower right side of the upside down pocket cut out using a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive. Let about 3/8" of the folded ribbon stick out to the side. When the pocket cut out is right side up, the ribbon should stick out on the left side.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape and add SNAIL to the back of the pocket cut out. Adhere it to the left side of the card front.
Mount the sunglasses image from the Pocketful of Sunshine Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the strip of Poppy Parade Cardstock.
Pick out the sunglasses die from the Pocket Dies. Place the stamped sunglasses image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the sunglasses die on top so it is centered over the stamped image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Place the sunglasses cut out on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Use a blade on the Paper Snips to poke holes in the centers of the lenses. Then, cut the lenses out of the glasses using the Paper Snips.
Put small dabs of SNAIL on the back of the glasses with the lenses cut out. Adhere the glasses to the Window Sheet piece.
Trim off excess Window Sheets poking out from behind the glasses using Paper Snips.
Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the glasses cut out with Window Sheet lenses to the front of the card so the glasses appear to be hanging out of the pocket at an angle to the lower right corner.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 small Calypso Coral dots from a sheet of Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere the dots to the ends of the glasses frame.
Use the brush tip of the Poppy Parade Dark Stampin' Blends to color a small heart on a sheet of Heart Epoxy Droplets while it is on the sheet.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up the colored droplet making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the card front at a slight angle just above the "i" in the word "sunshine" of the stamped sentiment.
