Pets & More 3 Cats Joy |
F un birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Early Espresso Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of tiny yellow stars on orange background design from Flowering Zinnias 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/4" x 8" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Flowering Zinnias Designer Paper to the center of the Early Espresso rectangle and then to the front of the Pumpkin Pie card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Heartfelt Hexagon Set or Pets & More Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the hatched edge tag outline from the Heartfelt Hexagon Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal vanilla strip so it is vertical leaving room to punch it out.
Mount the "I hope your day is filled with joy" sentiment from the Heartfelt Hexagon Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the stamped tag outline on the vanilla strip so it is centered in the outline.
Unlock the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped tag image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Mount the animal image of choice from the Pets & More Set on Block C so the smooth side of the stamp is face up. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp the image on one end of the remaining horizontal vanilla strip. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp the image again on the vanilla strip. Leave room between the images to cut them out. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy.
Flip the cleaned animal image over and mount it on Block C so the bumpy side of the stamp is face up.
Ink up the large, bumpy, animal image on Block C with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp the image over the top of the previously stamped animal images on the vanilla strip. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Clean the stamp, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the large, bumpy, animal image on Block C with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp the image on the remaining bit of vanilla strip, leaving room to cut it out. Clean the stamp and put it away.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out all three animal images by hand.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the three cut out animal images and the sentiment label punch out on the front of the card to figure out spacing and placement. When happy with the arrangement, adhere the pieces in place one at a time. Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the bottom right animal image that overlaps the sentiment label punch out a bit.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Natural 3/8" Polka Dot Trim.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon trim so the dots are face up. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so it is centered over the bottom right corner of the sentiment label punch out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a 1 small and 2 large Lemon Lolly or Pumpkin Pie sequins from a sheet of Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them in a rough triangle to the upper right corner of the card as shown.
