Paper Lollies are perfect for Honeycomb Happiness |
|
I
came across a Challenge on SUDSOL( a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator website) to use Envelope Paper for something other than an envelope. I started thinking and remembered these fun lollies that I had made years ago! This paper is both sturdy and light enough to be perfect for this technique!
Of course, you are going to fall in love with the cute little Honeycomb Embellishments that are featured in the Occasions catalog and coordinates perfectly with this stamp set! But what to do when you run out or (gasp) forget to order them? Make these Paper Lollies!

punch a 1" circle out of white cardstock.
punch a 2" circle out of Strawberry Slush envelope paper.
Place the white circle on the center of the wrong side of the 2" circle. Do not adhere yet! Gently fold the Strawberry Slush paper over the edge of the cardstock making little folds as you work your way around the whole circle. Be sure to tuck the last folds underneath the first folds so they are continual folds with no visible starting point. You will also want to be sure to keep the pieces centered as best you can.
Unfold the beautiful work you have just done. Put adhesive on the outer edges of the white circle and place back on to the Strawberry Slush refolding and adhering as you go. Again making sure you will be able to tuck the last fold(s) underneath the first fold.
Finish the Lollie off with White Perfect Accent!
