Pansy Patch Purple Pansy Birthday |
P retty birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Fresh Freesia Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" of pale purple gingham check design from Pansy Petals 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/8" x 2-5/8" from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 2-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
Put the Blackberry Bliss rectangle into the Gingham Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the strip of Pansy Petals Designer Paper to the left edge of the vertical, dry embossed Blackberry Bliss rectangle.
Cut a 5-3/4" piece of the Fresh Freesia 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon,
Lay the ribbon across the designer paper.cardstock rectangle so the left edge of the ribbon covers the seam between the two pieces of paper. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back of the rectangle using strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Fresh Freesia card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Pansy Patch Set, place the cardstock or specialty paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Thank You" or "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Pansy Patch Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the vertical 2-1/4" x 2-1/2" white rectangle.
Mount the more solid leaf that points down image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Soft Sea Foam Ink Pad. Stamp it on the vertical white rectangle so it is centered between the bottom of the sentiment and the bottom of the rectangle and the tip is pointing to the right and slightly up and is about 1/4" from the right edge.
Mount the matching detailed leaf veining image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Soft Succulent Ink Pad. Stamp it on top of the previously stamped solid leaf image.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the Fresh Freesia rectangle. Then, adhere them to the card front as shown.
Mount the large, more detailed pansy flower outside edge image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining white rectangle.
Mount the large, more solid pansy flower outside edge image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped detail pansy image.
Tip: It is easier to line up the solid image over the detailed image than the other way around!
Mount the larger, more solid pansy flower interior image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad. Stamp the image in the center of the previously stamped pansy image on the white rectangle.
Mount the medium-sized, solid pansy flower interior image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp the image in the center of the previously stamped pansy image on the white rectangle.
Mount the tiny triangle image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the previously stamped pansy image.
Pick out the matching, open pansy flower die from the Pansy Dies. Put it on top of the stamped pansy on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the pansy is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the pansy cut out to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown.
Pick out a large Fresh Freesia flower from the Loose Flower Flourishes. Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the flower to the upper right corner of the card front.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one small Cherry Cobbler rhinestone from the sheet of Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the Loose Flower Flourish. Press carefully into the center of the flower embellishment to make sure it sticks.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one medium Cherry Cobbler rhinestone from the sheet of Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the pansy cut out.
