Painted Poppies Yellow Poppies Circle |
P retty thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Daffodil Delight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-1/4" square from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 2" x 3" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Mount the small, single flower image from the Painted Poppies Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it 4 times in a rough half circle on the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" white rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. The top of the topmost flower should be about 1/4" from the top and the right edge should be about 1-1/4" from the right edge. The next flower should be just below it on the left with the top of the flower pointing to the left. The next flower should be just below it at a slight angle so the top of the flower points towards the lower left side of the white rectangle. The final flower should be just to the right of it with the top pointing down and about 1" from the bottom edge and the right edge about 5/8" from the right edge of the rectangle. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the small, single flower image on Block B with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it two times on the 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" white strip. Leave space between the images so you can cut them out with the die.
Mount the large blob image from the Painted Poppies Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad and stamp it over the top of the previously stamped poppy flower images on both pieces of cardstock. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Adhere the stamped large white rectangle to the large Crushed Curry rectangle and then to the front of the Daffodil Delight card.
Pick out the large scribble circle die from the Painted Labels Dies. Put it on top of the Crushed Curry square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Adhere the scribble circle cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the right edges of the poppy flower half circle and almost touches the right side of the white rectangle.
Mount the "thank you" sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" white strip in the center. Leave room to punch it out.
Unlock the 2" Circle Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area side to side. It may be slightly above center. Punch.
Adhere the sentiment circle punch out to the center of the scribble circle cut out on the card front.
Mount the single leaf image from the Painted Poppies Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it on three times on the Old Olive rectangle. Leave space between the images so you can cut them out with the dies. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Pick out both of the matching leaf dies from the Painted Labels Dies. Put them on top of two of the stamped leaves on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the leaves are centered inside their dies. Make sure the dies do not overlap. Run through the tool. Repeat with one of the dies and the final leaf image.
Adhere one of the leaf cut outs to the front of the card so it barely overlaps the left side of the sentiment circle punch out and the tip of the leaf is pointing up. The tip of the leaf should be about 1" from the top of the card.
Adhere the other two leaf cut outs to the front of the card so they overlap and are just below the sentiment with the tips pointing to the right and slightly downward.
Pick out the small matching flower die from the Painted Labels Dies. Put it on top of one of the stamped flowers on the white strip on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the flower is centered. Run through the tool. Repeat with the other flower.
Using SNAIL, adhere one of the flower cut outs to the left side of the scribble circle/sentiment circle so it covers the bottoms of the leaves and the top of the flower is pointing slightly down and to the left.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the other flower cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the first flower cut out a bit on the lower right side and overlaps the bottom of the two leaves bit. The top of the flower should mostly be pointing down.
Cut a 4" piece of Daffodil Delight 1/4" Ruched Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the card front at an angle so the knot is centered over the intersection of the base of the two flower cut outs.
