Cut cardstock and designer vellum pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Pear Pizzazz Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 3" square of diamonds with small circles at intersections pattern from Graceful Glass 6" x 6" Designer Vellum
- 3-1/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 3" from Pool Party Cardstock
Mount the rose image from the Painted Glass Stamp Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Pad and stamp it in the center of the small white square. Set aside to let it dry for a few minutes while you work on the rest of the card.
Mount the birthday, sympathy, or celebrate sentiment from the Painted Glass Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Pool Party Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large white square.
Pick out the large, open, pointy, scalloped square framelit from the Eastern Medallion Thinlits. Place the stamped sentiment square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the Eastern Medallion framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment and will cut out a diamond shape. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Pool Party Marker to outline the sentiment diamond cut out.
Adhere the sentiment diamond cut out to the center of the Graceful Glass Designer Vellum square.
Put SNAIL on the back of the vellum only where it is covered by the sentiment diamond cut out. Adhere the square of Graceful Glass Designer Vellum to the large Pool Party rectangle so it is about 1/2" in from top, left, and right edges.
Pick out the half circle detailed rose window thinlit from the Stained Glass Thinlits. Build the following sandwich in this order on top of the Big Shot:
- Big Shot Platform with Thin Die Adapter removed
- white Impressions Pad from Big Shot Embossing Mats
- thick gray silicone rubber mat from Big Shot Embossing Mats
- small Pool Party rectangle
- half circle detailed rose window thinlit with cutting side down
- clear Standard Cutting Pad
Run the sandwich through the Big Shot a couple of times.
Tip: This sandwich will let the detailed thinlit dry emboss the cardstock instead of cutting it.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the dry embossed half circle rose window following the dry embossed outside lines.
Adhere the dry embossed half circle rose window piece to the Pool Party rectangle so it is centered under the vellum and touches the bottom edge of the vellum along the straight edge of the half circle.
Adhere the Pool Party rectangle to the front of the Pear Pizzazz card.
Pick out the rose framelit from the Stained Glass Thinlits. Place the stamped rose image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the rose framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped rose image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the cardstock that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Place the stamped rose cut out on the work paper and start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use the light colors first and add highlights with the darker colors. If needed to blend the colors, go over things again with the lighter colors.
Use the Light and Dark Calypso Coral Markers on the rose.
Use the Light and Dark Old Olive Markers on the leaves.
Use the Color Lifter as needed to remove unwanted color.
Adhere the colored rose cut out to the front of the card at an angle so it covers the bottom right side of the sentiment diamond and the leaves are on the left.
Pick out a Grapefruit Grove button from the Tinted Faceted Buttons.
Cut a 16" piece of pearlized thread from the spool in the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit.
Fold the thread in half. Stick the folded end and the loose ends of the thread through the holes in the button from the back side. Tie a small bow on the front of the button. Trim the ends.
Tip: A floss threader or needle threader can be a great help in threading buttons!
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the button with bow tied on to the front of the card at the base of the sentiment diamond.
