On The Horizon Country Gate Scene |
S limline card made with Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 7" x 8-1/2" and scored at 3-1/2"
- 3-1/2" x 6" of watercolor meadow with blue sky design from New Horizons 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the design is horizontal on the vertical rectangle
- 2 pieces each 1" x 3-3/4" from Misty Moonlight Cardstock
- 2" x 4" from Smoky Slate Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 8" from Basic White Cardstock
Mount the set of three trees image from the On The Horizon Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Evening Evergreen Ink Pad. Stamp it on the upper left side of the New Horizons Designer Paper rectangle so the shadow under the trees is in line with the top of the green meadow and goes off the left side of the paper a bit. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub and/or Simply Shammy, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the set of three trees image on Block H with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the New Horizons Designer Paper rectangle so the tops of the trees are just below the top of the green meadow line.
Mount the line of grass image from the On The Horizon Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the New Horizons Designer Paper rectangle about 2" from the bottom edge so the image goes off the left side of the paper. Re-ink the stamp with Old Olive Ink and stamp it again on the right side of the designer paper so it is about 1-1/4" from the bottom edge and the image goes off the right side of the paper.
Mount the flying birds image from the On The Horizon Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it on the upper right side of the New Horizons Designer Paper rectangle over the sky.
Pick out both fence piece dies from the Horizon Dies. Put them on top of the Smoky Slate Cardstock on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Mount the wood planks image from the On The Horizon Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Smoky Slate Ink Pad. Stamp it vertically on the fence piece cut outs until you've completely covered them adding a little bit of texture. Re-ink the stamp each time.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the stamped fence pieces to the stamped designer paper rectangle so they are about 1" from the bottom and leave a 1" gap between the two pieces in the center of the paper. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess cardstock on the left and right edges of the designer paper as needed.
Insert the 2 Misty Moonlight rectangles into the Bark 3D Embossing Folder so the lines will run horizontally across the horizontal rectangles. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure they are lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock pieces inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed strips of Misty Moonlight Cardstock to the top and bottom of the stamped designer paper piece so about 1/2" of Misty Moonlight shows above and below the designer paper. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess cardstock on the left and right edges as needed.
Cut a 4-1/4" piece of the Evening Evergreen 3/8" Chevron Weave Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the stamped and layered designer paper rectangle so it covers the bottoms of the fence pieces. Flip the rectangle over and secure the ends of the ribbon in place with small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and add more adhesive to the back of the designer paper/cardstock rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the slimline Old Olive card.
Mount the "relax & enjoy your day!" sentiment from the On The Horizon Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Evening Evergreen Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one end of the horizontal Old Olive rectangle leaving room to punch it out.
Unlock the Label Me Fancy Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Evening Evergreen 3/8" Chevron Weave Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front so it is just to the left of the sentiment punch out Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
