Oceanfront Seascape Rectangle |
T hank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Basic White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Basic White Cardstock
Fill a Stampin' Spritzer with water.
As you are ready to stamp using the Oceanfront Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the large completely horizontal brushstroke image from the Oceanfront Set on Block I so the darker lines are on the top. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Lightly spritz the stamp with water from the Stampin' Spritzer. Stamp the image on the top of the vertical 3" x 4" white rectangle.
Mount the large brushstroke with an angle along the bottom edge image from the Oceanfront Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Pool Party Ink Pad. Lightly press the top edge of the stamp to the open Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Lightly spritz the stamp with water from the Stampin' Spritzer. Stamp the image on the vertical 3" x 4" white rectangle so it overlaps the bottom of the previously stamped Misty Moonlight image a bit.
Mount the thinner diagonal brushstroke image from the Oceanfront Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Smoky Slate Ink Pad. Stamp it along the bottom of the stamped vertical 3" x 4" white cardstock so it overlaps the bottom of the previously stamped Pool Party image a bit.
Set the stamped vertical 3" x 4" rectangle aside to dry a bit.
Tip: You can speed up drying using a Heat Tool if you want.
Mount the large single rock image from the Oceanfront Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Smoky Slate Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small white rectangle.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the rock image by hand. Set aside for now.
If your stamped 3" x 4" rectangle is dry, then proceed with the next step.
Pick out the stitched rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 2-3/16" x 3-9/16" from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the stamped rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered. Run through the machine.
If needed, mount the images on the blocks again and re-ink them with the appropriate colors and stamp on the rectangle cut out to fill in any blank areas.
Mount the long line of grasses from the On The Horizon Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Just Jade Ink Pad. Stamp it along the bottom of the rectangle cut out so it overlaps the area between the Smoky Slate beach and the Pool Party water.
Mount the short bunch of grass image from the Oceanfront Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Just Jade Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the rectangle cut out.
Mount the grouping of tall, thick grass stems image from the Oceanfront Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it along the left edge of the rectangle cut out multiple times so the bottom of the stems are about 3/4" from the bottom of the rectangle. Stamp some of the images without re-inking.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the stamped rectangle cut out in the center of the 4" x 5-1/4" vertical white rectangle so the top is about 1/2" from the top edge.
Mount the "thanks for everything" or "thinking of you" sentiment from the On The Horizon Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it just below the rectangle cut out so it is centered side to side.
Now, adhere the rectangle cut out in place to the sentiment stamped white rectangle.
Adhere the stamped and layered 4" x 5-1/4" white rectangle to the front of the Basic White Thick card.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the rock cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower left corner of the rectangle cut out as shown.
Gently squeeze the Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush to get a little ink on the brush tip. Lightly press the inky brush tip to the top of the rectangle cut out as desired to make "stars" in the sky.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 5 different colors and shapes from a sheet of Faux Sea Glass Shapes making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the bottom of the rectangle cut out just to the right of the rock cut out.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Just Jade & Gold 3/8" Braided Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom left side of the rock cut out.
