Nuts & Bolts Peeking Robots |
F un Valentine card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 2" of tiny red dots on light pink background design from Sweet Talk 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
Pick out the group of circles die from the Picture This Dies. Put it on top of the white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered and two little circles are on the left side. Run through the machine. Keep the white rectangle with circles cut out and the three larger circles.
Adhere the large white rectangle to the center of the Highland Heather rectangle. Then, adhere it to the front of the Real Red card.
Mount the "You Make My Heart Go Beep" sentiment from the Nuts & Bolts Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the larger circle cut out.
Using Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere the sentiment circle inside the large circle cut at a slight angle.
Mount the robot with flower image from the Nuts & Bolts Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp the head onto one of the medium circle cut outs.
Put the stamped robot head circle on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Highland Heather Stampin' Blends to color in the robot's tube neck, ears, and hat.
Use the Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the robot.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends as needed to remove excess color.
Adhere the colored robot circle inside the top medium circle cut out at a slight angle.
Mount the robot with heart image from the Nuts & Bolts Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp the head in the center of the remaining medium circle.
Put the stamped robot head circle on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Highland Heather Stampin' Blends to color in the robot's tube neck and hands.
Use the Real Red Stampin' Blends to color in the robot's ears, hat, arm tube, and dots on the end of the antennae.
Use the Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the robot.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends as needed to remove excess color.
Adhere the colored robot circle inside the bottom medium circle cut out at a slight angle.
Pick out the line of 3 open, connected hearts die from the Sweet Hearts Dies. Put it on top of the small rectangle of Sweet Talk Designer Paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper piercer on the Take Your Pick if needed to remove the pieces. Keep all the pieces.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the three little solid hearts inside the small circle cut outs at slight angles as shown.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to carefully cut two outline hearts away from the others, rounding the edges as needed.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere one of the outline hearts to the card front so it overlaps the upper right side of the upper robot circle a bit.
Tip: If you stamped a bit of the flower on the edge of the circle, this will cover it!
Put a small dab of Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the back of the upper right side of the other outline heart cut out. Adhere it to the lower left side of the sentiment circle cut out as shown.
