Nothing's Better Than Summer Cocktail |
F un, summery card made with Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pale Papaya Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/8" x 2-5-8" from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
- 1" x 2-1/2" from Adhesive Sheets
Insert the large Sweet Sorbet rectangle into the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Sweet Sorbet rectangle to the front of the Pale Papaya card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Nothing's Better Than Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the cocktail glass image from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the top of the vertical white rectangle.
Mount the "Today's Plan: Consume" sentiment from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Tahitian Tide Ink Pad. Stamp it just below the stamped cocktail glass so it is centered side to side.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a 2-1/4" x 3-9/16" stitched rectangle from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the stamped white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image and sentiment are centered side to side and the top of the cocktail image is near the top of the die. Run through the machine.
Mount the half circle lemon/lime slice image from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Parakeet Party Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the lemon/lime wedge on the cocktail on the white rectangle.
Mount the scalloped edge umbrella top image from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the drink umbrella on the cocktail on the white rectangle.
Mount the small, iced interior of the cocktail image from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pale Papaya Ink Pad. BEFORE stamping, use the brush tip of the Sweet Sorbet Stampin' Write Marker to scribble some random bits of red onto the image. Breathe on the image to moisten the ink and stamp the image in the center of the cocktail on the white rectangle. If needed, use the brush tip of the Pale Papaya Stampin' Write Marker to fill in any white spaces along the edges of the interior of the cocktail glass.
Mount the tiny starburst image from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Tahitian Tide Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly around the cocktail on the white rectangle multiple times. Stamp some of the images without re-inking. Let some of the images overlap.
Adhere the completely stamped white rectangle cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and slightly closer to the top.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Sweet Sorbet strip. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the word "cocktails" die from the Love You More Than Dies. Put it on top of the Sweet Sorbet rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Sweet Sorbet (red) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the "cocktails" word cut out. Adhere it to the bottom of the stamped white rectangle cut out as shown.
Use the fine tip of the Sweet Sorbet Stampin' Write Marker to draw in the dot over the "i" in the word "cocktails."
