Nature's Prints Simple Framed Flower |
Q uick and easy, pretty card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Gray Granite Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" x 5" of mottled gray pattern on one side and dandelion bursts in gray on blue background on the other side design from Sun Prints 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Gray Granite Cardstock
- 2" square from Starry Sky Cardstock
Pick out the large, open rectangle frame die from the Fabulous Frames Dies. Put it on top of the Sun Prints Designer Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the blue side of the designer paper is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed. Keep both pieces!
Note: You are using both the frame and the solid rectangle cut out of the center for this project.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the frame cut out to the front of the Gray Granite card so it is in the center and the blue side is face up.
Mount the flower image from the Nature's Prints Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Starry Sky Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the gray side of the vertical designer paper rectangle cut out so the top of the flower is about 1/2" from the top of the rectangle.
Adhere the stamped designer paper rectangle cut out to the front of the card so it is inside the frame.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Nature's Prints Set on Block C or Block H. Ink it up with the Starry Sky Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Gray Granite rectangle.
Pick out the label die from the Natural Prints Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Pick out the circle die that cuts out a 1-11/16" circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Put it on top of the Starry Sky square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the sentiment label cut out to the center of the circle cut out so some of the circle shows above and below the bumps in the center of the label cut out.
Adhere the matted sentiment label cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and covers the bottom of the flower stem.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 or 3 large rounds from the sheet of Opal Rounds making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere one to the center of the flower and the other one or two to the the sentiment label as desired.
