Many Mates Silver Medallions Congrats |
P retty congratulations card perfect for a wedding, anniversary, bridal shower, or graduation card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, foil sheets, designer acetate, and adhesive sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Basic White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 4" of lines of medallions design from Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Silver Foil Sheets
- 2-3/8" x 3-3/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1-3/4" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
Remove the protective film from the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate strip.
Put a 2" piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the gold side of the acetate strip on the left edge about 3/4" from the top edge. Remove the protective backing and adhere the acetate strip to the left side of the horizontal, large white rectangle so it is about 1/4" from the left edge and the silver pattern is now facing up.
Adhere the large white rectangle with designer acetate strip attached to the front of the Basic White Thick card.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to the white side of the Silver Foil Sheets rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the large rectangle of interlocking medallions die from the Many Medallions Dies. Put it on top of the Silver Foil Sheets rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the silver side is facing up. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Paper Snips to trim off excess foil sheet around the edges of the interlocking medallions rectangle.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the interlocking medallions silver foil cut out and adhere it to the front of the card so it overlaps the right edge of the designer acetate strip a bit and is about 5/8" from the top of the card.
Mount the larger sentiment of choice from the Many Mates Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it in the center of one end of the horizontal white strip, leaving room to punch it out in a later step.
Lay the stamped sentiment strip on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers the stamped sentiment. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use a clothespin to hold the cardstock while using the Heat Tool to avoid burning your fingers.
Unlock the Timeless Label Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped and heat embossed sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom right corner of the interlocking medallions silver foil cut out as shown.
Cut a 16" piece of the Basic Gray Twine from the Well Suited Twine Combo Pack.
Fold the twine in half. Tie a small bow in the center of the folded twine. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the twine bow at a slight angle to the front of the card on the left side of the sentiment punch out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a small, frosted droplet from a sheet of Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the medallion in the top left corner of the interlocking medallions silver foil cut out.
