Magnolia Blooms Mosaic Birthday |
P retty birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool and Paper Snips:
- card from Blushing Bride Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" from So Saffron Cardstock
- 3-3/8" x 4-5/8"" of small yellow flowers in yellow mosaic circles design from Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 4-1/2" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 2" square from Blushing Bride Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- pink mosaic rose and yellow butterfly cut from a piece of Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper
Adhere the yellow mosaic pattern piece of Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Paper to the So Saffron rectangle. Then, adhere them to the center of the front of the Blushing Bride card.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide one short end of the Garden Green strip into the punch as far as it will go and punch.
Lightly spray the punched Garden Green strip with water. This will help you get a deeper impression when you dry emboss it.
Insert the damp, punched Garden Green strip into the Basket Weave 3D Embossing Folder. Run the folder with the paper inside through your die cutting and embossing tool. Set aside to allow to dry.
As you are ready to stamp using the Magnolia Blooms Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "thank you" or "happy birthday" sentiment from the Magnolia Blooms Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white strip near one end. Leave room to punch it out.
Unlock the Pretty Label Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Pick out the scalloped circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a scalloped circle that is 1-3/4" wide. Put it on top of the Blushing Bride square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Adhere the sentiment punch out to the scalloped circle cut out so that the scallops on the circle show above and below the center of the sentiment punch out.
If the dry embossed Garden Green punched strip is dry, proceed with the next step. Speed up drying by using the Heat Tool if needed.
Adhere the dry embossed, punched Garden Green strip to the front of the card so the notched end almost touches the left side of the card and it is about 1" from the bottom.
Adhere the matted sentiment punch out to the front of the card so the right edge almost touches the right side of the card and the punch out is centered over the right end of the Garden Green strip.
If you haven't already done so, use Paper Snips to cut out a pink mosaic rose and a yellow mosaic butterfly from a piece of Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper.
Adhere the rose cut out to the card front so it overlaps the upper left side of the sentiment punch out and the top of the Garden Green strip.
Use a couple of Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the butterfly cut out to the card front so it overlaps the lower left side of the sentiment punch out and the bottoms of the Garden Green strip and the mosaic rose cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a Crushed Curry flower gem from a sheet of Flower Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the upper right side of the card front.
