Cut cardstock, Glimmer Paper, and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Rich Razzlberry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of sparkly stars on purple background design from Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
- 1/2" x 5-1/4" from Silver Glimmer Paper
- 2-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- castle hand cut from dragons, knights, and castles on white background design from Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper
Mount the wizard image from the Magical Day Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Pick out the matching wizard framelit from the Magical Mates Framelits. Place the stamped wizard image on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the wizard framelit on top so it is centered over the image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces.
Tip: I like to cut things out before taking the time to color them in. That way, if the die does slip for some reason, you haven't wasted all the time doing the coloring!
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the cardstock that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Place the stamped and cut out wizard image on the work paper and start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. Work in small areas at a time. The colors blend best when they are wet. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use the light color first and add highlights with the darker color. If needed to blend the colors, go over things again with the lighter color.
Use Light and Dark Rich Razzleberry on the wizard's robe and hat. Add highlights with the Color Lifter Marker. Use the Ivory Marker on the wizard's face and hands.
If you get color where you don't want it, you can use the Color Lifter Marker to remove the color.
Mount the "Hope Your Day Is Magical" sentiment on Block H. Ink it up with the Memento Pad and stamp as close to the top of the strip of Rich Razzleberry as you can get it so that the right side of the sentiment is about 1" in from the right side of the strip.
Adhere the stamped strip to the piece of Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper about 3/4" up from the bottom.
If you haven't already done so, use Paper Snips to cut out a castle from the piece of designer paper. Adhere the castle to the right side of the big piece of designer paper so the bottom is tucked under the top edge of the sentiment strip.
Adhere the wizard to the sentiment strip just to the left of the sentiment so the bottom of the wizard is just below the bottom of the sentiment.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the strip of Silver Glimmer Paper to the bottom of the sentiment strip so it is just under the sentiment and covers the bottom of the wizard's robe.
Cut a 12" piece of Basic Black Solid Baker's Twine.
Fold the twine in half. Lay the twine across the sentiment strip/glimmer paper so it covers the seam between the two. Flip the designer paper over and fold the ends of the twine over. Adhere the ends of the twine in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the designer paper. Adhere the designer paper to the front of the Rich Razzleberry card.
Cut a 16" piece of Basic Black Solid Baker's Twine.
Cut a 16" piece of Basic Black Solid Baker's Twine.
Fold the twine in half. Tie a small bow. Trim the ends.
Using a Mini Glue Dot, adhere the bow at a slight angle to the right side of the twine already on the card near the "L" in the word "magical."
Carefully peel up 3 small Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere them randomly to the top of the card.
