Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Fresh Fig Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 3-1/2" x 4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 1" x 4-1/4" from Fresh Fig Cardstock
- 7/8" x 4-1/8" from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 1" square from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 3" square of mottled Tranquil Tide design from Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper
- 2-7/8" square from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
Lightly spray the 4" x 5-1/4" Petal Pink rectangle with water. This will help you get a deeper impression when you dry emboss it.
Insert the damp Petal Pink rectangle into the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder so the lines of lace will run horizontally across the rectangle when it is horizontal. Use the line drawn on the front flap of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Place the folder with the paper inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Set the dry embossed cardstock aside to let it dry thoroughly.
Tip: You can use a Heat Tool to speed up drying if you wish.
Rub the Embossing Buddy across the 3-1/2" x 4" rectangle of Petal Pink.
Mount the large lattice oval with flowers image from the Lovely Lattice Set on Block E. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 3-1/2" x 4" rectangle of Petal Pink.
Lay the stamped Petal Pink rectangle on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers all of the stamped image. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (smooth and shiny).
If you haven't already done so, put some water into an Aqua Painter.
One at a time, squeeze the lid of an ink pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Gently squeeze the Aqua Painter to get a drop or two of water in the lid. If you want a more intense color, add a drop or two of the corresponding ink refill to the lid. Stir the water and ink together with the brush tip of the Aqua Painter. Start painting with the inks onto the heat embossed image until you have the color coverage you want. Get more ink on the Aqua Painter as needed.
I used the following colors:
- Fresh Fig for the centers of the larger flowers
- Petal Pink for the smaller flowers and buds, edges of the petals of the larger flowers, and blending
- Shaded Spruce for the leaves
Tip: Dry the cardstock between colors using the Heat Tool to help fix the colors in place.
Tip: Between colors, remember to scribble on Grid Paper to clean the tip of the Aqua Painter until no more color is coming off.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the heat embossed and watercolored image. You can just cut off some of the really small stems and leaves.
If the dry embossed Petal Pink rectangle is dry, adhere it to the front of the Fresh Fig card.
Adhere the cut out, heat embossed, and watercolored lattice oval and flowers to the front of the card on the left side about 3/4" in from the left side.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the long, skinny piece of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and adhere the adhesive sheet to one side of the long, skinny Fresh Fig rectangle. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the piece of Fresh Fig Cardstock on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (Fresh Fig facing up).
Pick out the long, skinny lattice work thinlit from the Petals & More Thinlits. Put it on top of the Fresh Fig Cardstock on the Big Shot. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Peel off the protective backing and adhere the lattice work cut out to the upper right side of the card front so it almost touches the right edge of the Petal Pink dry embossed rectangle and is about 3/4" from the top edge.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Itty Bitty Greetings Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Fresh Fig Ink Pad. Stamp in the center of the thin strip of Petal Pink.
Pick out the long, skinny, open framelit from the Petals & More Thinlits. Place the stamped sentiment rectangle on the Cutting Pad on the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the sentiment cut out to the center of the long, skinny lattice work cut out on the card front.
Mount the small, single flower with leaves image from the Lovely Lattice Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Fresh Fig Pad. Stamp it in the center of the square of Petal Pink so you get the flower. Don't worry about getting the leaves, you are going to cut them off anyway.
Squeeze the lid of the Petal Pink Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Gently squeeze the Aqua Painter to get a drop or two of water in the lid. Stir the water and ink together with the brush tip of the Aqua Painter. Start painting with the inky water onto the single flower image until you have the color coverage you want. Get more ink on the Aqua Painter as needed. Set the flower aside to let it dry or use the Heat Tool to speed up drying.
Once dry, use Paper Snips to cut out the flower by hand.
Adhere the watercolored flower cut out to the left end of the sentiment cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a Fresh Fig flower from a sheet of Frosted Flower Embellishments making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the watercolored, cut out flower.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the square piece of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and adhere the adhesive sheet to the back side (non-Tranquil Tide side) of the Tranquil Textures Designer Paper square. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the piece of Tranquil Textures Designer Paper on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (Tranquil Tide facing up).
Pick out the large bunch of skinny stems and leaves thinlit from the Petals & More Thinlits. Put it on top of the Tranquil Textures Designer Paper on the Big Shot so most of the leaves and stems will be cut out. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to carefully remove the pieces.
Peel off the protective backing and adhere the stems and leaves cut out to the right side of the card front so the ends of the stems tuck under the lower right side of the lattice oval and flowers and the top stems and leaves overlap the right side of the sentiment cut out. Trim off excess leaves and stems as needed with Paper Snips.
Tie a bow in the Petal Pink/Whisper White 5/8" Variegated Ribbon while it is on the roll.
Cut the bow from the roll of ribbon. Trim the ends at angles.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the card front at a slight angle so it covers the bottom left side of the lattice oval and flowers.
