Love Of Leaves Plaid Leaf Thanks |
P retty fall thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Bumblebee Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of purple, brown, white, and yellow plaid design from Plaid Tidings 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 3" square from Bumblebee Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" from Bumblebee Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Plaid Tidings Designer Paper to the large Bumblebee rectangle and then to the front of the Rich Razzleberry card.
Pick out the smooth circle die that cuts out a smooth circle that is 2-5/8" diameter from the Layering Circles Dies. Put it on top of the Bumblebee square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Pick out the large, open oak leaf die from the Stitched Leaves Dies. Put it on top of the Bumblebee circle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it will cut out a leaf shape inside the circle. The stem will hang over the edge a bit. Run through the machine. You are using the circle with a leaf cut out of the center for this project. Keep the leaf cut out to use on another project.
Adhere the circle with leaf cut out of the center cut out to the front of the card so the left edge is about 1" from the left edge of the card and the top edge is about 3/4" from the top edge of the card and the stem is pointing towards the lower left corner.
As you are ready to stamp using the Love Of Leaves Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the Very Vanilla strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notched top) as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the "hello" or "thank you" sentiment from the Love Of Leaves Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad. Stamp it on the punched banner so it is centered top to bottom and about 1/4" from the notched end with the notch on the right side.
Use Paper Snips to trim off excess cardstock on the left side of the stamped sentiment banner so there is only about 1/4" of empty cardstock between the sentiment and the left edge.
Adhere the sentiment banner to the card front so it overlaps the bottom of the leaf circle cut out on the right side and the left edge of the sentiment banner is even with the stem of the leaf cut out.
Mount the small, serrated edge leaf image from the Love Of Leaves Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Bumblebee rectangle.
Pick out the smaller, open, serrated leaf die that angles the same direction as the stamped leaf image from the Stitched Leaves Dies. Put it on top of the stamped leaf image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Pick out the matching, solid, serrated leaf die from the Stitched Leaves Dies. Put it on top of the stamped leaf image so it is inside the open die. Run through the machine.
Note: The solid die doesn't really cut anything out. Instead, it will add vein texture to the interior of the leaf by dry embossing them in place.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the small leaf cut out to the front of the card at a slight angle so it overlaps the lower left side of the circle leaf cut out a bit and the stem is pointing down and covers the left end of the sentiment banner.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Bumblebee 1/4" Gingham Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at a slight angle over the top of the small leaf cut out stem.
