Lots of Lavender Twice Altered |
P retty card showcasing Stampin' Up! products and ways to alter them!
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Pear Pizzazz Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Wisteria Wonder Cardstock
- 3-1/2" x 3-7/8" of scattered black leaf stems on white background design from Petal Passion Designer Series Paper
- 3" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3" square from Old Olive Cardstock
Cut a 5" piece and a 9" piece of Whisper White 1/4" Organza Ribbon. .
Lay the ribbon on Grid Paper so your work surface will be protected. Use the brush tip of the Light Old Olive Stampin' Blends Marker to color one side of both pieces of ribbon. Set them aside to let them dry completely.
Place the piece of Petal Passion Designer Series Paper on Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Cut a Stamping Sponge into quarters so you have more sponges to work with.
Tip: I just clean my sponges when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Rub the rounded side of the sponge quarter across the open Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, rub it onto the piece of designer paper in circular motions. Get more ink on the sponge as needed. Keep adding ink until you have the color saturation you want.
As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock or designer paper using the Lots of Lavender and Beautiful Peacock stamps, place the cardstock or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. If you will be stamping off the edge of the cardstock or designer paper, place a piece of scratch paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the set of 4 solid leaves image on Block A. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it repeatedly onto the sponged designer paper so it overlaps the black leaf images in some places. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Clean the stamp when done using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist.
Mount the set of 2 solid leaves image on Block A. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it repeatedly onto the sponged designer paper so it overlaps the black leaf images in some places. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Clean the stamp when done.
Mount the "beautiful friend" sentiment from the Beautiful Peacock Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the Wisteria Wonder rectangle.
Adhere the sponged and stamped designer paper to the left side of the stamped Wisteria Wonder rectangle.
Lay the 5" piece of altered ribbon across the Wisteria Wonder and designer paper layers so it lines up with the right edge of the designer paper layer. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the Wisteria Wonder cardstock. Adhere the layers to the front of the Pear Pizzazz card.
Mount the outline lavender bouquet image on Block E. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it on the square of Whisper White Cardstock so you get the top of the bouquet. Remember to use a piece of scratch paper on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the watercolor lavender flowers inside image on Block D. Ink it up with the Wisteria Wonder Ink Pad and stamp it inside the previously stamped flowers image.
Mount the set of 4 solid leaves image on Block A. Ink it up with the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the set of four leaves already stamped on the left side of the bouquet.
Mount the set of 2 solid leaves image on Block A. Ink it up with the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the set of two leaves already stamped on the right side of the bouquet.
Pick out the smooth circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 2-3/8" circle. Place the stamped white square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the smooth circle framelit on top so it is centered over the top of the bouquet image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the scalloped circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 2-9/16" scalloped circle. Place the Old Olive square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the bouquet circle to the center of the scalloped circle. Then, adhere the circles to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals so they are centered over the ribbon side to side and about 1/4" from the top.
Tie the remaining piece of ribbon in a small bow. Trim the ends. Adhere the bow to the bottom of the bouquet using a Mini Glue Dot.
