Let's Set Sail Sunset Sail |
Q uick and easy card perfect for lots of occasions using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Tahitian Tide Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Soft Suede Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 6" from Basic White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Let's Set Sail Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the long water image from the Let's Set Sail Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Tahitian Tide Ink Pad. Stamp it across the vertical 4" x 5-1/4" white rectangle so it is about 2" from the bottom and goes off the right and left edges.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Let's Set Sail Set on Block B or Block C. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it just below the stamped water in the center of the white rectangle.
Pick out the circle die that cuts out a 2-1/8" circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Put it on top of the Daffodil Delight square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the circle cut out to the center of the stamped white rectangle so the bottom of the circle just overlaps the top of the stamped water.
Mount the group of little birds image from the Let's Set Sail Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Tahitian Tide Ink Pad. Stamp it just to the right of circle cut out in the upper right corner of the white rectangle.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the front of the Tahitian Tide card.
Mount the sailboat hull and mast image from the Let's Set Sail Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it in the bottom of the vertical Soft Suede rectangle so the hull of the boat is at the bottom.
Unlock the Sailboat Builder Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped hull and mast boat image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the hull and mast punch out to the front of the card so the bottom of the hull is centered over the bottom of the circle cut out.
Mount the smaller, curved sail image from the Let's Set Sail Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tahitian Tide Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the vertical 1-1/2" x 6" white strip so the point at the top of the sail is pointing up.
Hold the unlocked Sailboat Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sail image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Keep the punched out sail and the rest of the white strip. Leave the punch unlocked.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sail punch out to the front side of the boat on the card.
Mount the larger, more triangular sail image from the Let's Set Sail Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Tahitian Tide Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the 1-1/2" x 6" white strip so the point at the top of the sail is pointing down.
Hold the unlocked Sailboat Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sail image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sail punch out to the back side of the boat on the card.
